v1.1
1) fixed left panel dusk/dawn lighting (updated Captain_Sim.b520.LP.CAB)
Original readme's and Manual included, even a genuine pilot's flight manual [in Russian].
When you first load the plane you'll be asked to accept 2 Gaus for onboard sounds/converstions.
All Panels are from photographs so are visually about as accurate as you can get in 2560x1440 Resolution wide screen. Pilot seat view, Navigator's view, and 'Jump Seat' view which shows both pilot and copilot together with functioning gauges.
There are smoke effects for all 8 exhausts, complete with flame/sparks...all managed by N1 speeds ...and if you shut down an engine....the exhaust also ceases [as it should].
This is actually the whole aircraft...with 6 paints - 2 real ones, [including the Prototype], and a few 'fun' ones [Qantas/RAAF]. They were originally done 7 years ago...to high resolution and with metallic shine, but I updated them again...gave the windows a better look/detail. It's not FSX Native but it'll do in a pinch...
Any queries...I can be found at SOH [only place I upload to] or email pmar4984@bigpond.net.au
Wide screen Panel in XML for the Ilyushin IL-76MD originally by Ilya Kulikov (Monumentum).
The original could be problematic in FSX as it was almost all GAUs. From a screen cap of the VC set up as a new 2D Panel in 2560x1440 Resolution wide screen.
I was able, after writing a few specifically to eliminate all but 1 of the Gaus, which wasn't easy as I had to trial-and-error locate what was what in the VC and make it all work there and in the 2D.
There's a Read Me ...to...er....read.
This is the whole aircraft...with 3 paints. It's not FSX Native but it'll do in a pinch...

I did not spend a lot of time researching the exact avionics, colors, types of switches or locations of various items in the VC. What I did do is replace the blurry textures with ones that have better resolution. I personally like seeing things that I can tell what they are and not have to guess. So this is my reworking of the VC in question. If you decide to keep it, I hope you like what I've done. . . .if the lack of authenticity kills the immersion factor for you, it won't hurt my feelings if you drop it in the trash can.
