Beechcraft A28/XA-38 Grizzly - FSX Native Models - latest Beta Version (Updated)
FSX Models by Milton Shupe, 2D and VC panels and gauges by Scott Thomas, exterior textures by the late Damian Radice, engine effects by Milton Shupe, flight dynamics by Tom Falley, Sound set by Steve Buchanan (Lawdog)at SOH, and project technical documentation provided by Moses03 at SOH.
EditVoicePack: author: Brent Hricziscse aka dogknot.
Pkg incl 7 models, custom panels and era gauges, custom sounds, custom Flight Model, and 7 liveries.
FSX Beta: Bump and Spec Map place holder textures are in place. Original textures not FSX enhanced so someone could really improve on the spec and bumps placeholders included. I have retired from project work and simming so I cannot do much in the way of support now.
This package is an FSX Native conversion of my original XA-38 Grizzly project. Tested in FSXA and early P3D versions.
This updated version:
- Added some missing textures
- Replaced all .bmp textures with .DDS textures
- Cleaned up some folders eliminating useless files

This standalone package adds new startup procedures, auto-mixture management, interactive checklist, VC chatter and the 'Monitor' panel to a re-textured VC.
The mods are largely based on Jan Visser's (team DIGITAL DAKOTA WORKS) C-47 package. Models revised by Manfred Jahn, textures by Gordon (gman) Madison and Nick Cooper, testing by Alan G. Ampolsk and Ralf Scholten.
Original historical research by John Detrick, flight dynamics by Alexander M. Metzger, gauges, animations, and failure conditions by Hansjoerg Naegele.

The first Barracudas entered service on 10 January 1943 with 827 Squadron and were deployed in the North Atlantic. A total of 24 front-line squadrons were eventually equipped with Barracudas. From 1944 onwards, the Mk IIs were accompanied in service by radar-equipped, but otherwise similar, Mk IIIs, which were used for anti-submarine work.

Note: This package was modified on 4 October, 2020 to include the following update:
Second (and hopefully last) update to the FSX conversion of the Classic Warbirds Design Teams Westland Whirlwind.
Features of this update: Disconnected retractable landing light from landing gear animation, light is now controlled by landing light switch.
Enhanced the shine and material properties.
Fixed the night lighting issue in the VC (thanks to user mcanx for solving the issue)
Note - this is an update to the original conversion package, you do not need to install update 1.1.
Native FSX conversion of the Classic Warbirds Design Teams FS9 payware model of the WWII fighter the Westland Whirlwind.
Also works with no issues in P3D.
Thanks to the Classic Warbirds Design Team for approval to upload the conversion.
