    Maxstuka,

I think the markings on the fairing Red/Yellow/Blue was a visual indicator of hydraulic/pneumatic pressure in the gear strut. Red = Low, etc.

yeah, but why any have a red-blue, and others red-yellow-blue?

for example in this pictures, are tricolors, but in the standar CFS2 models, the A6M2 AND M5 have red-blue, not yellow!why?

I dont see, nothing pressure gear strut picture of the UI-106, I dont know what is the correct and real for this!
I like repaint skins in most posible reallity, for respet of the pilots souls!

what do you belive, that the white model repaint UI-106 can has?

    THE TRICOLOR? OR only blue-red?

    A6M3 MODEL 22 IN WHITE!

I can not add much, but on some photos I have seen those same THREE colors painted on the prop tips. These were carrier based Zero's. Wish I could be of more help. Has anyone seen them on any plane besides a Zero? Your English is a lot better than my Spanish.

    Max,
Here are two pics from different times in the war. One shot is an A6M2 aboard a carrier, the other is an A6M5. Both appear to have the red-yellow-blue strut marking. I think you could use this marking on UI-106 and be accurate.

    standard

This 3 stripes marking seems to be a standard marking for any Zero variantes ... but I do not know what it was used for.
It can be seen on almost every picture from the book "A6M Zero in Action" from Squadron Signal. But the usage is not explained.

I thing, I read sometimes ago, that this are loading weight indicator’s, because the mark’s are between the upper and lower gear part.

On the pic with the circle, the blue part is just hidden behind the lower cover because of the compressed dampers.

Probably because the plane has full fuel tanks when the pic was taken.

Actually the blue stripe is even a bit wider than the others.

Maxstuka: No cosa grande pero el modelo un su perfil es un modelo 32 "Hamp"; con las alas acortadas, no un modelo 22.

    Just in case......
The stripes appear to be a gauge for the travel of the oleo strut. The lower door panel slides over the stripes on the upper one. Possibly used to gauge the weight of the aircraft for loading. I would suppose that this would be a feature common to all factory aircraft.

    THANKS ALL, FOR COOPERATION!

I have problems to calibrate the gun circle black, but I am fiting it, and next only need work the damage texture!. this is a picture, but the gun circle on the wings are desfaced!.
I like this skin, is for mi the most beutifull zero, because it has the tradition white color of the A6M2 but more power motor and yellow in wings are very impresive look.I sink that are the last zeros in white color, I dont see a A6M5 in white!.

    The model is upload!.
Test the .air and the performance of the aircraft, because I test with others stock models but I am not safe if it surpasses to a6m2 in game.

    A6M2: 240-242kts aprox at 3500ft
    A6M3: 240-245kts aprox at 3500ft
    A6M5: 250kts aprox at 3500ft

you can maintain the airplane in 3500ft and test firt with the A6m2 and next with A6m3, if the A6m3 give a 245 the airfile is good!

This is a real comparative Zero:

    --------Speed--Cruise--Max-----
    A6m2:-330mph---415---622-----
    A6m3:-336mph---418---626-----
    A6m5:-351mph---436---654-----

The model 22 is cool, because it has a little more speed and ceiling than the A6m2 is the best in 1942.There are varius white skins than green. The engine is pure without exhaust pipes like in the A6m5

somebody can creates to.air alternative, in case that mine is bad?

The M.22 was made out of the M.32, but had again the earlier wings of the M.21, note the "clipped wings"

I like mix the model 22 with the 21! and yeah the 22 is a one update version of the 21 with clipped wings and new engine nakajima sakae 21 this changes give it a little more performance!.

    Yeah, the .air need fix!
I test 3 zero at 3500ft in lineal fly

    A6m2:244kts
A6m3:244kts-----this is equal than the A6m2 is error
    A6m5:252kts

    the A6m3 need 248kts!

  22. #22
    Thank you Maxstuka!

    Gracias Maxstuka!

...per your request, I will work-over the AIR file tonight, as I can tell that you want it to be correct in every aspect. The differences in performance between the 2, 3 and 5 were relatively small in speed and ceiling. Range was the biggest difference, I think.

Yeah!, the performance is equal than the A6m2, but a little speed, more ceiling and minor range!

    A6m3
    Max. Speed: 336mph (561 km/h) at 19,685ft
    Ceiling: 36,250 ft. (11,050m)
    Range : 1,000 miles
    Range With droptank: 1,640 miles

    A6m2
    Max speed: 331 mph @ 14,930 ft
    Ceiling: 32,810 ft
    Range: 1,160 miles
Range with drop tanks: 1,930 miles

basically, if the A6m3 have 248kts in lineal fly at 2000/3500tf, the air file is perfect

ThANKS Tango!people also thank to you for this!.
