Just to confirm, Lefty nailed it. I must admit that I hoped that it's Beech 18 heritage would confuse the issue.
Not a real good pic of it, but I've got one of the other end as well. (only ones I could find of the aircraft)
I suspect that when it's named, I'll smack my forehead and think that I should have known it, but darned if it will come to mind.
Thanks Lefty! I don't have anything lined up so yall just go with the biplanes :d
(Did I mention that the Beech 18 is one of my favorite aircraft?)
Looks like it left the factory as a Beech 18.
:icon29: to SrGallahad!
And I thought it had the potential be a stinker.
As it's open house and I've been holding on to this one for months waiting for a chance to get it in, I'll toss it out there. And just to clear it up a bit, it's not a PBY Catalina.
I'll take a wild stab at it with the Sopwith Bee.
The engines and fuselage sides keep making me think it's a one off mod of a Beech 18. There is just something very "Twin Beechish" about it.
Slight resemblance to a Sikorsky S39. But the tail is all wrong.
You didn't mention Ralf's gasbags, thereby leaving him an opening. :costumes:
All in all, pretty reasonable. Most of what's put up I don't have a bloody clue on. I think the last one I got was...
I've got one waiting in the wings that should at least slow him down :icon_twi:
Looks vaguely like one of Igor's. But I've never seen a Sikorsky with an inline engine.
Fiat G.12?
