Hi guys,
can anyone help with this problem, I'm having white textures of all paints and the panel (black) with the Harpoon FSX Portover. Installed as usual.
Have I5 with 8GB and FSX Gold Edition, so Acc and SP.
Thanks for now, John
John,
What your screenshots tell me is:
1) You have loaded the FSX Only version
2) The sim recognizes the installation and all the folders
3) The common texture folder is there and is recognized, and working as the common textures show in the VC
4) The livery texture folders are there, or at least the thumbnails are, as they show fine
Having said that, I do not know what causes the problem but I have not had any trouble reports from any of the sites.
EDIT: Here is my FSX folder setup and a livery folder content example. Does yours look the same?
Are you using the DX10 Preview in FSX without Steve's texture fixer?
Finishing up modeling and mapping on this one so Firekitten can start laying down lines.
Here are a few early PV-1 liveries. There really is a lot of good reading out there on these PV-1's and thanks to many of your contributions, I have a lot of it.
Excellent details of both the ETO and PTO operations, squadrons, missions, and aircraft used, BU #'s and fate.
how sweet...!!! this is some really good news ..

Can't wait to fly the Ventura in PTO out in the Solomons!
Striker, listen, and you listen close: flying a plane is no different than riding a bicycle, just a lot harder to put baseball cards in the spokes.
Requesting assistance in finding nose content pictures. These are the only 3 references I have. Trying to put a few things up front to better appoint the PV-1.
Hi,

You may well have seen this site, but if you haven't (!) you may find some of the photos of the cockpit area of assistance. He seems to be taking great care constructing this model.

Wish I could help, I have pictures of a PV-1 I visited in my country, but it's the solid nosed variant. I can still send them anyway, if you want them.
LOL No problem.
I just sent off final changes (I hope) to Firekitten for the PV-1 so its down to the nitty gritty of panel lines and details.
This will be like the early RAF version of the PV-1 before the additions of rockets and tanks came about, but after the early Bolton Paul turret twin 30's got swapped out.
We may consider a solid nose later version if there is real demand adding back rockets and tanks for it but that looks a lot like the Harpoon.
aka the B37 Milton?

Actually, it will be the Ventura IIa B34 seen in my post # 2088 above, top picture. It's essentially the RAF Mk II with the Martin turret and militarized P&W 2800-31's making it the Mk IIa.
I will not be adding the glass nose twin 50's, but it is a single piloted cockpit.
