Focke Wulf Fw200 C1 Condor - "Scourge of the Atlantic!....."

    Hi Folks,

In between things, cranked out an early version of the Fw200 Condor. This is the C1 model, and has different engines and naucelles, a cupola instead of a turret up front, and a few other minor tweaks. The performance was about the same as the later models (C4, C6, C8, as they were much heavier) even though it had lower powered engines. These were used in the early Battle of the Atlantic campaigns around 1940-1942, and was the "Scourge of the Atlantic" that Churchill referred to, in his speech.

If you want to re-enact the Sunderland - Condor Airfix kit box-top dogfight, then this is the one to use!

    Cheers
