Thanks for the preview, Jan Kees! This must be the new Milviz external model/textures, and it is looking fantastic. I assume it is in beta now?

yes, the Milviz P-38L. They sent me an early version to play around with, and this is the (preliminary) result. I'm not sure how far they are in development, but it can't be far off.
We now have 11 texture files for the exterior alone, so the detail is fantastic! I'm still trying to figure out where all the bits and pieces are (as you can see on the tail for instance)
Of course I know Gentle Annie was really a J model, but I hope you'll forgive me.
This one is a J too btw:

That looks superb ! Almost photorealistic
Quite stunning Jan.. both the external model and the paint. Never been much of a P-38 fan but I've gotta get this one

Hi,
Just an FYI: the whole plane was redone texture wise and the VC had a major makeover to bring it up to today's standards.
The product will be released VERY soon.
Thank you.
Kat.
I really can't wait. This thing looks SO GOOD!
-building a new sig as you see this!-
Love that last paint, and those are some really good screenshots as well Jankees!
Excellent, a sure buy for me!
Cheers,
Mark

Great looking model and beautiful paintwork
Cheers,
Huub
Absolutely stunning.
As I dig deeper into the P-38, I discover things I never knew, and so I have to go back and redo certain paints or parts thereof..
..things like the P-51-like filling and painting of parts of the wing...
..or the painting of the doors to the gun compartment..
..and the extensive wear on the serial from the exhaust gases..
..or the antiglare panel on the boom that extends partly onto the wing..
next up: painting part of the booms..

That work-in-progress livery is absolutely gorgeous! Will be looking forward to flying that one for sure!

Beautiful! You just sold another one for Milviz.
Any chance you'll be doing Gentle Annie after it was repainted - like this?
(that image came from this wonderful site).

There - I was expecting an Anson!
Rats - why won't anything work properly first time?
Is it possible that one of the talented painters out there could do Thoughts of Midnight?
