I think it might've been used by the 78th FG, which had Mustangs with black and white chequered noses. They were based at Duxford, if I'm correct, and the TP-51B was a field conversion from a single seater. It would have been used as a squadron hack, the "WW" on the tail was "War Weary".
Leave the checkered nose and change the serial # on the tail and you should be good to go. The aircraft is just about right for P-51B 42-106826, a converted two-seater flown by the 78th Fighter Group (per Mark's previous post). Here are a couple pics...
