Thanks Sarg Willy, but I just do the 3d modeling; the textures by Capt. Kurt are bringing the aircraft to live.

This was the only dive-bomber to see operational service with the RAF. All squadrons being based in the Far East.

For those who like things a little different, some were also converted to target tugs with black and yellow stripy bottoms

It was used also by Australian, Brazilian, Free French and Indian air forces...

Hm, Sauerkraut und Schnitzel is tasty for me, but I think, if the pilot could do, the smell of the farts would be more based on Chili con Carne and baked beans ,because he represents an US pilot.
In general sauerkraut doesn’t produce more farts than other food, more related to farts is Erbsen suppe (Pea Soup)

OK, this version with long exhaust pipes are easily to do, I will do it later.
---It looks like the rear canopy is completely removed.

    Wolfi,

Pilots of rotary-engined aircraft during The Great War used to get diarrhea from all the castor oil they swallowed in flight. Getting out of those flight suits in a jiffy must have been hell.

(To clue those who don't know...castor oil was used for rotary-engine lubrication)

If you think that all of the intake/exhaust valve mechanisms on those engines were not encased in the way we are all used to see since eons ago, the volume of lubricant flying into the pilot's face was huge. They all dismounted from their open cockpits completely blackened by it.
I wonder if any of them who survived the war later on succumbed to cancer, considering how poisonous exhausted lubricant oil can be.

It sure tells a long story about what kind of tough material early flyers were made of.....

    Cheers!

The main model and the virtual cockpit are close to be ready. Now I will try to correct the tail wheel position and size before I will went to the LOD models, there is also a bit work on the damaged parts.
I made a second player version where you will have control over the Gunner and rear canopies, (Concorde Nose keys) the standard version opens the rear canopy automatically when the landing gear gets in.
The Textures are made by Captain Kurt!

    Wolfi be careful!

    Wolfi,

the test pack you distributed to us test pilots has a wonderful bird in it! The model is perfect, it has good fps performance and its animations are stunning!

I love the rear gunner/navigator animation and the 3d radial engine is wonderfully modelled. I swear the VC is best I ever saw! You applied magic to it, because I always hated the darkness and very limited forward view of VCs, while this one is bright, luminous under different light angles and it offers an ample forward view! This Vengeance might very well be the only plane I'll ever fly in her VC!

She flies very well, too, a good flight model overall. Keep in mind I only fly in "hard" mode.

But be careful: the prop disc you included in the pack is not the one I attached to the thread earlier. It's over a year old and it has errors that I corrected this summer.

Please, do not use that 2013 prop disc in your final release, but the one I am attaching below!

It's the same disc I attached before, I only renamed it according to your prop disc filename in the pack.

Better yet: delete every prop disc texture of mine you have that I sent you before August/September of this year!

    Cheers!

    update

It will be a real cfs2 aircraft: Breakable, bullet holes, multi LOD and VC. When I first decided to make this aircraft, I thought what an ugly plane, but now it’s maybe the best aircraft I ever build. Through the building process I like it more and more, especially when Captain Kurt’s textures came into work, they give the plane the live I like.
For all who wait for this aircraft, the Model itself is ready; I’m in the process to add the last 38 bullet holes to the aircraft. There are a few minor fixes to do (assigning parts to the correct part)
I think this aircraft will be ready within two weeks from now.
    Wolfi
The picture shows the aircraft in a very unpleasant situation, but it also shows one of the breaking parts and a few bullet holes.

    Hi wolfi,

Fantastic job on the A-31 Vengeance model. It can't get any better.

I'd like to add another picture from my archive. This is one of a battle worn Vultee, also taken at Tsili Tsili.

    Pretty good match IMHO.

    Close to ready!

Close to ready! I do the last test flights; have to adjust the LOD models a bit, writing the readme and upload text. I think the Vultee Vengeance will be uploaded this week.
Right here: Special thanks to Captain Kurt for his work on the textures, DP and air files.
    Thanks Kurt

    RAAF_Vultee_Vengeance.zip

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 2 Aircraft - Other

Description: This aircraft was built with FSDS2.4

The aircraft is for CFS2. It is multilod, breakable and comes with damage textures and bullet holes effect.

    Special thanks are going to:

Captain Kurt for his work on the textures, the 2d Cockpit and the DP and air file and to Kelticheart for the prop texture.

The folder AIRCRAFT/RAAF Vultee Vengeance contains the complete aircraft with the standard model having the rear canopy open and close as the landing gear retracts and extends.

Vengeance Zip_1: Has an optional model version with a different rear canopy animation. You can control the rear canopy with the Concorde nose keys (you have to assign two keys, one to open and one to close the rear canopy)

Vengeance Zip_2: Has a FS2000 model that is visible in DPED (DP file editor) to use if you want to modify the .DP file.

This model MDL is my work and should only be available from Sim-outhouse.
