    Hank, have you read 'Jachtvliegers in de koude oorlog' by Steve Netto? It has some great stories about the Thuderstreak and - flash (And every other aircraft) in the RNLAF service.

    One of the great books on flying for sure. It's like a mini manual for flying this plane, too.

    A little update:

    Many simmers already tried to fly this bird in P3DV2. We did all the developing with FSX/P3D 1.4 SKD's,and we are going to start testings to make it fully working with the new sim.

    In these hours we released a rush patch to solve the problem for the black cockpit glasses:

    http://www.vaafse.org/.../F84F/SSW-F84F-P3Dv2-patch-1.0.exe

    Again,we have to review deeply all the systems and features to ensure full compatibility with the new sim,but we think to finish all the upgrades very soon.

    Thanks,

    Alessandro.

    Well, I've all but given up on trying to d/l. Tried numerous times now and it will time out every time. Too bad, as it looks really nice. Maybe I'll try in a week after the initial rush dies down.
    Cheers,
    Dave

    I managed to get it earlier, but there's an issue.
    Every time I try to run it the sim keeps going into pause.
    Hit pause to release, and it immediately goes back into pause again.

    I've had literally no time to evaluate at all.

    Yes,it's a matter known.

    The time trial is 8 minutes,to evaluate if the product is ok for your hardware.

    We think is enough to check the specs of your PC and give a general look (and a startup,for the Hog is very quick,plus in 8 minutes you can easily get airborne).

    Cheers,

    Alessandro.

    .
    For me it doesn't happen after eight minutes, but more like eight seconds...

    Ok Ian,to close the canopy:

    1) pull the yellow lever back to unlock the canopy,than pull the lever forward to approximately half run (in vertical position,more or less,and hear the spring sound);

    2) Pull down the canopy (use the round knob in the right inner frame of the canopy) until you hear the contact sound;

    3) After lowering the canopy,complete the run of the yellow lock lever to it's complete forward run (and hear another sprooooinggg sound).

    It's a little bit tricky but it corresponds to real one (I tried it personally on a real Hog).

    Enjoy..

    ....And I think we will see early the next question: "how to operate flaps,it seems they not to work properly"

    I have tried the handle to lower the canopy using the lever and it still fails , flaps work fine , I tried to get a link to the pricing and method to pay as well , this also keeps bouncing back saying it dose not recognize the address .

    EDIT : I'll go through your list for canopy close .. quiet a bit to it .. ill put your what to do on other PC and follow your instructions .
