I remember seeing that someone was building a cessna 170 awhile ago, what ever happened to that project?

I'd Really like to see someone do an aeronca champ. I just bought one this spring and have been flying the hell out of it..
Maybe this is the one you are looking for

I have it and it is great.
I like the Lycoming constant speed prop version, but still, it doesn't make that great 6-cyl O-300 sound

I've posted this previously, but will do so again;

A state of the art 170B would be nice. Probably my favorite looking Cessna dragger is the "two side windowed" 180 Skywagon. I have the the Carenado 185 Skywagon but really wish someone would make this one.

Striker, listen, and you listen close: flying a plane is no different than riding a bicycle, just a lot harder to put baseball cards in the spokes.
Just found this old thread from 2012.. Couldn't help but quote myself, now that it's in open-forum!
Check-out a few of these photos from some of our survey trips, over the last couple weeks!
How does exhaust and fuel stain effect the aircraft, after a hard days work? What does an original pit look like after nearly 65 years in service?
....
Contra-wise, what does a clean, restored aircraft look like ?
Further.. What about engine(s)? There's several being modeled!
The research going into this project is extensive.. But very rewarding!

Thanks for the head up on the C170.
I'm very interested, but the pre order thing is not really my thing. So I'll wait
