It took a major overhaul, but I got the landing gear on the DC-3 fixed. We took off from UKFF and headed east to URKK. Nice flight over some pretty country. We landed at URKK and when I looked over on the ramp, it looks like the Foreign Legion beat us here.

Next stop, Batumi! (UG0E) I bet there's a lot of Braves fans there...

We headed on around the Black Sea to Batumi Georgia. It was a great flight for me until I was turning to approach at Batumi, when my foot slipped and kicked the power button on my comp tower turning it off.

The Braves aren't playing there anyway....

Taco and I headed on along the coast from Batumi to Trabzon (LTCG) in Turkey. Nice shortish flight but net storms got Taco about 10nm out and he didn't make it back in.

    Hi folks,

Here are a few snaps from the flights of the last two nights. For some unknown reason my puter towards the end of each flight just gave up. Oh well, tomorrow is another day.

More Turkish delight along the Black Sea. Was so cloudy I only saw Willy when we took off and then on final.

Fun flight into Samsun, LTAQ. Like Moses said, not good weather for aircraft spotting.

Moses, Taco and I took a little side trip inland to LTAL. Nice flight although the airport was hid behind a cloud and I didn't see the runway on final until I was just almost on top of it.

    Hi There!

Just a couple of photos of last night flight. Now don't ask me where we are, I don't have a clue as usual.

We left LTAL and headed on west to Istanbul. Nice flight and the weather made up for the last one. Also great conversation enroute....

    :salute:Hi all,

Here are a few photos of last nights flight. Before takeoff, pictures of MM and Willy enroute. I was doing pretty good until I forgot to check the speed on descent and over stressed the C-47. Oh well, there is always tomorrow! hehe

We had a nice flight through the Dardanelles and Gallipoli to the Grecian island of Limnos (LGLM) even with the fog, wind shifts and a rather obnoxious foo fighter in a supersonic Cessna.

    :salute:Howdy,

This was a very good flight! But this old boy got carried away with the picture taking box. Oh, by the way, I did make a fairly good landing, and this time without overstressing the aircraft.

Got me one of those mail order 4 fuel tank kits from DC-3 Airways and added it to the Goon. Threw my center of gravity towards the tail and almost killed me on take off. But I managed to get enough trim and elevator to bring the nose back down and fly on towards Tripolis AB.

Pretty nice flight, but when I got slowed down on landing the tail came down hard again. Anyway, I've got a 4 tank kit for a DC-3 that I'll make someone a good deal on.

Well, I went wild with the picture taking box. It was a nice flight from LGLB to LGTP Ah...we did have some questionable weather as usual with Flight 19, the weather god really doesn't like us very much, I think. I had some problems locating the airport for some reason, but I finally spotted it as Willy was making his approach. Wow! boy did his landing look goooood! A perfect three point landing! But when he touched the ground all heck broke loose!
