    It's got one of those sensors that all the choppers have. I've wondered what they are. They look most like something to help the crew get some disco going.

    While I'm not an expert on these unmanned drones, most helicopters in the US inventory are fitted with AN/ALQ-144 IR jammers (or something similar), right?

    It's a strobe, as in light.

    It just illuminates in the infrared spectrum.

    It's a glorified light bulb! That's all.
