Good Morning (to some...) would have posted last night but 'server too busy'. Am disappointed that after all that work, pomme homme has withheld my glass of delicious French cider...

But we'll carry on with this which will hopefully puzzle.....

Oh dear, it appears that you're suffering still, lefty, from imageabsentitis. Either that or you've posted a picture of the De Litescent Invisiplane!

I apologise for witholding the glass of victor ludorum cider. Would a bottle of cepage Noah white wine, from our own grapes, serve as adequate recompense for this faux pas?

Lefty, you are slipping again....the clue is on the engine cowling & a quick google shows it to be a Chinese Shenyang Rosamonde 1.
I must admit surprised it was easier than I thought it might be!

I didn't realise dear Rosamonde was so well known, and thought leaving the name on might lead you up all sorts of blind Occidental alleys... However, should have known better with you lot .

Incidentally, I have it as the Cornell-Wilde Rosamonde, which is how she started life. (also christened 'Ching-Ling', which is equally sweet). In fact, can't find Shenyang other than that it was an aircraft factory founded in 1951 !

But, admittedly, my knowledge of Chinese does not extend much further than the menu...........pray continue, dear boy

Thank you Lefty. There also seems to be other names for it 'Xiani' & 'Dashatou' are also mentioned on Wiki.
Anyway some thing a teeny bit younger.

This was a versatile machine.

The floats had wheels that could retract up inside making it an amphibian. The wings also folded up making it nice and tidy for tight storage. Circa 1930.

I know that it isn't, but with the exception of the empennage it looks remarkably like the Marendaz Trainer but on floats.

Cirrus powered and from the USA but not at Aerofiles which makes it difficult. The designer who is known for building large ungainly looking twin boom transports, teamed up on this effort.

I will move on soon if no one has any ideas.

Sorry for the delay. This is the Uppercu-Burnelli Amphibian of 1930-31. (Don't think it ever got a designation). Wish I could read the reg number on the tail fin!

Have done some more digging, Kevin, and answered one of your questions ! Here is the unmasked photo showing 'Aeromarine' on the fuselage as well as the reg. The other photo is interesting too....

Seems like it might be the Uppercu-Burnelli-Aeromarine-Klemm Model 'B'

Now there's a snappy name..
