You got it - it's one of the few boom-boomers I don't remember you posting before !

  3. #11203
I wasn't sure if it had appeared in the distant past (a search did not pull it up).

    How about a Salon baby?

  4. #11204
    Could it be a Romano R 80?

  5. #11205
It could be and it is! Thought it would last a little longer. For PH

  6. #11206
Thank you, Moses. This one may not last a lot longer .....!

Not perhaps, it is the DKW Erla Me. 5a prototype D-2585. So back across the pond we go.

This would have to be the General 102-E ?

  11. #11211
looks to me like its fokker.....but then im no good at this...

  12. #11212
Sorry for the late reply. Yes, Lefty has zapped the 102-E cleanly. (No more zap flaps for a while, I promise).

No zaps here - to save everybody a lot of time, although it looks like it, this one is not American......

Would that be one of the beautiful Letov biplanes?
    BG

  15. #11215
No, BG, it is not a Czech number....

  16. #11216
    Might it be Mexican?

  17. #11217
It's not Mexican, indeed not Western hemisphere.....

  18. #11218
Found a photo of a Nakajima P-1 that looks similar to yours. Has an engine cowl but no pants so not sure.

  19. #11219
That's the one - the P-1 mail-carrier. Later on, the spats must have been removed and a cockpit canopy added. This one is J-BCNO.

    Thanks Mike.

    How about another floater...uh...

  21. #11221
Would that be a Stinson SB-1 taking an unscheduled dip ??

  22. #11222
Taking a dip in the frigid waters off Alaska. Spot on with the Detroiter Lefty.

Thanks Kevin - now how about a nice easy trimotor ?

    Hello boys and girls!
The closest I've come is the Lorraine-Hanriot LH170.....but alas that's not the one!
    Keep searching....
    BG

Probably found: Bernard 60T of 1929....
