    A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category FSX Civilian prop skins

    Description: VH-ANQ [cn:3271] [sn:41-7686] was built as a DC-3-384 but impressed as C-49-DO at Douglas Aircraft, Long Beach, California in January, 1941. Delivered to the USAAC at San Antonio, Texas - February, 1941.

    Arrived Brisbane (Archerfield) on delivery to 5th Air Force - September, 1942. Allocated to 374th Troop Carrier Squadron with radio callsign 'VHCDG', named 'Mucky Minnie'.

    Delivered to CAC at Fisherman's Bend for transport conversion - January, 1943 and allocated to No 36 Squadron, RAAF.

    Delivered to ANA at Brisbane (Archerfield) ex RAAF - April, 1944.

    Ferried Brisbane (Archerfield) - Sydney - Melbourne (Essendon) - April, 1944.

    Converted to civilian standards by ANA at Melbourne (Essendon) Airport [YMML], fitted with Wright Cyclone G1820-65 engines.

    Operated by ANA on night courier flights for the Allied Directorate of Air Transport using call-sign 'VHCDG'. Deemed surplus to requirements and was sold to Australian National Airways - December, 1945.

    Entered onto the AAR as VH-ANQ (CofR 984) - May, 1946 and Registered to Australian National Airways Pty Ltd.

    Converted to DC-3 standards by ANA at Brisbane with Wright Cyclone R1820-97 engines & was named 'Dromana' (Pelican).

    Registered to Ansett-ANA - October, 1957 and Commenced operations with Ansett-ANA Victorian Air Coach Services - December, 1961.

    Jafo just great, between this, TAA and Qantas you have really covered the era and the various liveries very well. I tips me lid to you mate. All great paints and really complement this wonderful aircraft. What can I say but thank you. Great stuff!
