FS Economy - Gives You A Reason To Fly "Virtually"
Very cool! They are rebuilding That's All Brother right now. (the real one!)

This one's uploaded...
Originally RAAF A65-123 [cn:34221] [sn:45-958] was built as a C47B-45-DK and delivered to the RAAF [callsigns VH-RGK and VM-JRL] as A65-123 in August, 1945. Transferred to the RAN in February, 1968 as N2-123.
Can someone show me where the ring around the bottom of the observation dome is in the PK. I'm not having any luck finding it and would like to have it the same color as the top of the fuselage in most cases.
Thanks!

If it would be helpful I can put together a labeled mesh layer that identifies all the hard to find bits like the dome base, cowl flaps, interior surfaces, prop hubs etc.

You are sure welcome. I would have done the work for myself, so I'd be kind of an arse to not share. lol
Just an FYI for the painters.
I did include the layer mesh, so it is easy to open that layer over your art and isolate the small parts. The UVW map was laid out in a very logical manner, so the loose parts are actually close to their actual locations on the airplane. Also, you will see some gradient shaded boxes. These are typically interior surfaces like intakes or cowls if you are looking to add zinc chromate or color in specific locations.
Painting tip:
In the "basics" paint kit supplement I uploaded I've created a basic shaded grey skin that can be lightened or darkened to suit.

When you want to add color, try using "overlay" rather than "normal", which will allow the shading to translate through to your color layer. Rivet and panel shadow and highlight are also baked into the greyscale layer, so use the Rivets and Panels folder only if you want to enhance the basic art.

Would still like to see a C-47 done of the SNAFU special. I've researched the history of it and has impressive history.
The Snafu Special
Veteran of world war II and from all the main airborne operations in ETO (Neptune - Dragoon - Market - Repulse - Varsity), C-47 #43-15073 was left behind on Rajlovac airfield, near Sarajevo, in Bosnia since 1994 when she was grounded by machine gun fire.
On the beginning of 2007, the members of the Merville Battery Association learn her existence and begin to research on her history.
Here are some pictures of her including the cockpit.

About as easy as it gets....[but I still got the flag too big]...
I used to see this one at Essendon in the 70's [YMEN] ....always looked 'clean'....just plain silver..
Edit ...here it is corrected.

I had a look and did about 50 paints for version 2. I am not going to update all of them, if there are any specific ones you're after, let me know?
You can find most of my repaints for FSX/P3D in the library here on the outhouse.
For MFS paints go to flightsim.to
If you could update the two Aer lingus repaints
from version 2 would be very grateful.
Anthin.
