    Hallo Friends,

    since some days I experiance my real actual weather engine for FS2004 to not work anymore.
    What ever I try I get the message "Metars download failed".
    I tried also to reinstall a newer version aplied all instructions how to install it but than I get the message that an error ocuried and the programm must be closed.Can someone point me to a solution to resolve the problem.
    Or where can I get an alternative engine for real actual weathe in FS2004?

    Papi,

    I use FSMETARS (offline) for CFS2. IIRC the weather servers which FSMetar uses have changed. Open the FSMetar.ini file with Notepad and replace the [General] section with this text:

    [General]

    FSRefresh =60
    InternetRefresh=15
    IvaoURL = http://www.ivao.aero/network/metar.asp
    VatsimURL = http://metar.vatsim.net/metar.php?id=ALL
    NooaURL = http://weather.noaa.gov/pub/data/obs.../metar/cycles/
    Proxy =NO
    AutoRefresh=On
    IvaoOnline=http://www.ivao.aero/network/metar.asp?Id=
    VatsimOnline=http://metar.vatsim.net/metar.php?id=ALL
    NooaOnline=http://weather.noaa.gov/cgi-bin/mgetmetar.pl?cccc=
    FSMessages=Yes
    Debug=No
    LanguageFile=English.lng
    DefaultServer=VATSIM
    StartDownloadingMetars=YES
    ProxyUser=
    ProxyPassword=

    Hope this helps.

    I tried everything I could, but the board refuses to display the entire text of that third link, so here it is with some spaces added to show everything. Copy the following line, delete all spaces, and you'll have it:
    http:// weather.noaa.gov/ pub/ data/ observations/ metar/ cycles/
    Thermaltake H570 TG Tower
    X670 Aorus Elite AX motherboard
    AMD Ryzen 9 7900X 12-Core Processor
    NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070
    NZXT Kraken X cooler
    32GB DDR5 RAM
    750 Watt PS
    Windows 11 Home
