Finished (I think). Just uploading to the library now.
Thanks guys, I think I need to read the readme file to discover the story behind these repaints
Cheers,

You may remember this aircraft from the Dakota Fly-in at the Aviodrome, Huub!
Very nice repaints, guys!
Intel i9-13900 Raptor Lake , Be Quiet! Dark rock slim cooler, 32 Gb Corsair DDR5 RAM, MSI Z790 Tomahawk motherboard, Asus RTX 4060Ti 16Gb, Thermaltake 1050 Watt PSU, Windows 11 64-bit 1 m2, 4 SSD, 2 HDD.
Yep I remember that one, but I didn't see any RAF roundels on it.
The roundels were added in 2012 I think. The official website is http://dakotanorway.no/ but that's in Norwegian.
Regular visitor to Duxford Flying Legends.
Back then (2006, didn't think it was that long ago!) it didn't have the RAF roundels:

My favorite paint, two touches and will be ready

Heading east out of St.Louis just before dusk withe the Gateway Arch, Busch Stadium(old ballpark), and KSTL way in the backround. Ozark still had some DC-3s
when the arch was completed back in 1965. Thanks again to all who have made the wonderful aircraft available and helped bring back one of my favorite childhood memories
LN-WND again, this time in her 2010 livery
Coming Soon!
Yes I know that Malev one should be an Li-2, but I was asked to do one for this model and it certainly does look good in those colours!
Crikey Guys Dave , Hani , JK and a flying gold fish ... Wicked paints ,
Dave I like both versions, but I prefer the one without roundels as that is how I saw it at the Dakota fly-in, May 2006.
Highly appreciated!

I think most people know it better in the old scheme, Huub. I'll be uploading that version soon, just a bit of work to do with the alpha channel.
I'm trying not to flood this thread with multiple posts about the same repaint - but I thought I'd better alert all previous downloaders of ZK-DAK that it's now up to version 5. I sincerely hope there'll be no need for a v6!
There was an air show at Tauranga (NZTG), so I grabbed the opportunity to check a few details - version 5 (and hopefully the last!) was the result.
Here's the *real* beauty:
... and my attempt to recreate the shot:
The rear door looks OK but is fake. Purists can download v4 which didn't have it. Anyone who grabbed any of the older versions might want to update theirs to v5:

It's great to see so many superb repaints/liveries appearing for the MJ C-47/DC-3 ... it thoroughly deserves them!
Adam.
Nice shots Adam, those really highlight what an accurate model the C-47 is, as is your repaint.
I can only echo your sentiments about the repaints. I now have 74 liveries for the C-47 and fly every one. They greatly add to the enjoyment of the experience.
So many thanks to Manfred, Gman, Jan Kees, Bernhard, Hani, Richard, Simon, Dave, Trucker and yourself for all the superb repaints, not forgetting anyone whose work I haven't got round to installing yet.
Cheers,
Ade
You repainters are the best. I have the PH-PBA for Maam Sim DC-3, and now can finally make Prins Bernhard proud with Manfred's yaw dropping C-47/DC-3. Also love the NZ and flagship versions.
And of course I will add several of the other repaints to my fast growing hangar,
Wow, DC-3 fly-in 2006..... THat;s bringing back sweeeeeet memories!
I even took a sight seeing flight in the DC -3 iI thing it was one from Hungary. Remember a dutch pilot had to assist the Pilots from the Hungary plane, as their English was quite poor. Still an experience I think of frequently.

One day without laughter, is one day without living.
One day without Flight Simming, is one day lost living.
Just a question; Is there a chance for a Air Alaska and Buffalo Airways repaint?

Looking very good! Actually it might be even more interesting to make the aircraft the Dakota of Norway has based this scheme on which is C-47A "Z" of No 20 (Norwegian) Sqn as it looked from may 1945-spring 1946.
