    The HiFi series are back

    Hi folks,

Thought a long time about this and deciced to restart my HiFi Series....but this time as FREEWARE as there are already quite a few guys doing excellent freeware and I'd like to contribute a bit as well
I'm just talking to 2 flight schools about creating a few FSX planes for their pupils.
They will be of a very high quality, with 100% realistic FDEs as I will do all the neccessary flight testing for the FSX versions with the actual planes by myself. Professional sound recording as well.
The question is, which one should I make (first?)
Please note that I'm no gauge guru so there will be no Accusim stuff, custom GPS etc...
Just a plain but perfect realworld counterpart concerning looks, sounds and FDEs.

Thanx a lot for your comments and parcipitation

Here's just an example of a Do27 I started for fs9 but due to various reasons never got completed.

Remorqueur all the way... It was the second plane I trained on for the PPL. Did my exam flight on a Régent thereafter (which will obviously be made by Aerosoft). Those two planes are remarkably different in flight behaviour...

I think justflight has a tomahawk, aerosoft has/ is remaking the Katana, so now we need the remorquer :salute:

I think the Tomahawk is just a port of their FS9 one.

Isn't Bill (Lionheart) working on a Robin 400?

  10. #10
I think Bill was looking at at DR500 or maybe a DR400/180. Aerosoft are doing a DR400 (a Remorquer?). What we need is a good quality Tomahawk in FSX

FYI Our Tomahawk is FSX native.

FYI the latest news is that Aerosoft is making a DR400/140B Dauphin which is a different plane to the DR400/180R Remorqueur the latter being a high powered glider tug popular on many airfields in Western Europe. In American terms it's more like the difference between the Piper Cherokee and the Piper Arrow.
TBH I don't understand why they are doing the Dauphin while the DR400/180 Régent is the more popular version by far.

Edit: the Justflight Tomahawk looks pretty decent to me...

Edit2: a Régent made by Bill would be really the icing on the cake!

I would hate to see you die over a plane. Or anything, for that matter.

Besides, how would you fly it afterward?

    Hi,

Sorry to deviate from your thread Sg38, but Mathias is there even the slightest possibility Classics Hangar may get its 3rd WIP? -

LOL, the Do27 is one of my absolute favourites and I'd love to make one. I wasn't too happy with the DA/Aerosoft one. Neither with the external model and even less with the FDEs.
But as a lot of people like the Accu sim like failure model and the VC is very nice, I don't think that anyone is really interested in a new Do without these features.
Furthermore it's a few years back that I flew the Do so my memory is most probably not exact enough for precise FDEs and I can't afford to travel to Germany just for 'test flying' the Do.

But if the community wants it, no problem to go for a high quality freeeware Do27 instead of the afore mentioned planes.

Do27!!! This is the burning hole in my aircraft collection, and I guess in many other´s too.

    How about a Do228 twin?

I think the 27 is great but that 228 would be sensational too.
