Although, you cannot give support services for something you did not make, you as still required, by LAW, to render services to a purchasers/customers. Or, provide some compensation or RETURN policy for defective or unsatisfactory work. Apparently, this is a global policy for all software developers in the business end of production and distribution.
Next time check with the developers country, even state of business about what the consumer law entitles the consumer to for that business.

It is YOUR CHOICE to refund if the customer:
    • has simply changed their mind
    • discovered the goods cheaper elsewhere
    • knew about a particular fault before buying the goods
    • damaged the goods by using them in a way they were not
    made for
    • does not give you proof of purchase (receipt or bank statement).
If your store policy does allow refunds in these circumstances
let the customer know that you are going above and beyond
    what the law requires.
There's a whole page of information:
    http://www.consumer.vic.gov.au/CA256...fund+policies~

So, by reading all of that IRIS is in their rights to refuse you support for twiddling with their product. But, as it stands, they've offered a tweak for it in the meantime.

If the product is not as described, on their store page then you may take umbridge at David's tone, in the meantime I would however keep to the basic facts.

You tweak a product out of the specifications of the product you have no right to demand a fix.

Was it a fault in the beginning, I haven't read that it is, it's a performance issue which at the end of the day is solely reliant on your machine and it's capabilities. It's like buying a sz 20 jeans when clearly you're a 24. You can't return them for wrong sizing.

What fix ? I went back to simmarket and their is no fix ,or patch or any updates..If you sell a product thru different vendors you have to update those sites also..I shouldnt have to create new accounts on differents sites that I dont care to visit , just to get what i was supposed to get from my store.

  6. #156
Yago...it's on the Iris Forums...Support section...where if you don't feel like doing it manually, you can download the file

  7. #157
The file is the best one, as while it tells you what to do on the forum, it is actually slightly different in the file download! As far as I know its only available on the Iris site!

Guys I also need some help here, you know the CFTCAS model, isn't there meant to be bombs on it? Mine has none just empty racks, is that right or not?

    look here!

I was thought it should have 8 GBU's under the wings!

    Please help!

    Hi fooks,

No problem regarding FPS for me, so i did not have to reduce resolutions.

Regarding the bombs not showing up, that's odd.

What i did was according the manual. Generate a flight with the CFTCAS bird and all. Saved it and made a short-cut of the FSX executable for the same mission to my desktop. Everytime i launch FSX from that executable i start with the bird loaded with 8 bombs (tried different loads, all worked).
From there i can move to any place or airport. Once there i start a new flight-plan (top left menu button, then flight planner), and off i go....with bombs :ernae:

On another matter....i already showed pics of my try-out fiction RNLAF repaint; this bird now has an Aerosoft brother :

L-39 thread post 455 and 456 might help "some individuals" to understand Falcons point.
Hard hat and fire retardant suit fully deployed.

Smudge the f-16 looks great and nice job on support in getting a fix out quick.

Dude, if you're so suited up for it, why don't you take it to IRIS Pro Series F-16D Fighting Falcon

That forum and thread is there for a reason!

With all due respect did you read the posts I was referring to?

It was to help illustrate that this was not the place to cut up the F-16 and a little respect should be shown. That was my point and the same point was made in post 456 in the L-39 thread.
    which I agree with.

I'm not understanding your post as bringing this there would not make sense.

    2Low, Yago9

All what needed to be said was said in this thread regarding this matter (pro's and con's), by developers and customers.

The developer has opened a thread @ his site, as customer support.

Before stuff gets on the edge of getting this thread closed, why don't we all focus on the product itself. Bitching about the bird, discussing if mixing it with another bird of different making and slapping the developer is not constructive to this matter. It will get the admins to close this thread and the developer to leave this nice site for what it is. That results in customers remaining unhappy.

Discuss all you want about the bird, but keep it nice and tidy (no oil on old fire necessary (that being the reason for my reply on your post, 2Low)).

If stuff popping up here leads to a major problem regarding the product, the developer will either read it here, or it should be taken to where it belongs...the developer (who happens to have opened a thread on his/their site for that matter).

I hate to see yet another nice thread with constructive information regarding a nice bird going down to the "closed" toilet again. Thats all

Hope i did not offend you guy's, i just want to get this thread to stay alive and constructive in a nice gentleman style.

Finally, I fully intend to buy your product, but lets put all these DRAMAs aside and behave like professionals, render service, let people play with their toys and seek your help, advice, and even provide you with some of their talents.
IRIS, David & team are under no obligation to offer support on a 3rd party forum. They may choose to do so, at their discretion but do not have to attend to your every whim, (for that matter they do not have to either on their own forum) on a 3rd party site.

The reference was made very clear by David, and others, that if you tweak any files you void his support options, unless they are tweaks that IRIS or a representative has put out officially, which he has done so.

I'd like to see your links, where did you get the information from? You can send me a PM, keep this topic clean.

In the meantime, if you don't like it, don't buy it.

Warrant has a point, keep it on topic, keep it about the plane. If you have any more concerns about these other issues, please message David or post to their forums directly.

Guys, you are going to have to register to the forum if you want support.
Just no other way around it unfortunately.

    http://www.irissimulations.com/phpBB3

The zip file I uploaded to IRIS will be removed also.
I ask that you do not! In anyway shape or form
    upload it to any website.

If someone wants support, please give them the link.

    I agree well said Warrant!
In my opion this is an excellent aircraft worth every penny!

Everybody quit bitchin and lets have some honest Asoft-Iris comparisons.
Around the $30-$35 price range I jump in and be a test dummy.$50 plus and I am waiting for some good feedback. I got a Delorean that makes sure I dont have much disposable income left.
Seems to be more systems heavy but how about the FM? I am more into the immersion factor as opposed to check list porn.
So lets hear how it flies.

The CCIP is worth the money alone.

No more fake bomb runs. All we need now are AAA batteries and SA-2's popping up through the clouds.

    VERY COOL!

I'm with ya Jim! I have the Aerosoft Viper. I'd like to see some reasons why I should plop down another $40 bucks for a two seat viper? It's a tough sell becuase all shop heaters are pretty much the same to me...........sell away!
If government was the answer, it was a stupid question!
