V8 means the eighth prototype. D would be the fourth production version - but I don't recall ever hearing of an A, B or C model.
Paul Clawson gave us a CG-4 Hadrian. It's probably in the library here, and he also released on one, two or all of FlightSim, AvSim and SimV. I don't think we've had a Horsa.
I've been an SOH member for many years and I still get confused about images in posts. For me the big head-scratcher is why sometimes images appear full sized in posts and sometimes as thumbnails...
When I was a little kid my parents used to take me down the highway to Bradley Field (now Bradley International, KBDL) where we'd sit out on the open deck right above the boarding ramp (no jetways...
Nifty! I have the old Airfix kit of the Hanover on a shelf in my model room, done up in the lozenge camo.
Thanks for this!:ernaehrung004:
You're very welcome! And thanks again for the model.
All I did was remove the Coast Guard markings and add the Navy ones. Well, that and add the early thirties style anti-fouling paint below the...
Here are a couple shots of my Golden Pearl Harbor.
First, a wider view of Ford Island. As you can see, there wasn't much else but pavement on Ford Island by the end of the thirties. You can see...

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category FS 2004 Military skins - General
Description: Two skins for...
I put the skins up last evening, so they should appear on the download page as soon as one of the librarians gets a chance to do an update. I know it went up because I can see it on the download...
Thanks.
Well, it started out as Golden Hawaii, which I have the rest of installed. But Pearl Harbor in Golden Hawaii is grossly inaccurate. For one thing, it's set in the very early thirties,...
Here's Shessi's Hall Aluminum PH-1 taking off from Fleet Air Base Pearl Harbor, Hawaii some time in the middle thirties with Battleship Row on Ford Island below.93531
Nifty! Thanks for posting!

That'll get done soon but maybe not for a few days. Aside from being deep into my current project with David, this morning we were treated to a Windows 10 update, and like so many Windows updates it...
Ah, cottage industry kits! I remember them well and built some good models from them, but they sure are a lot of work! Most of those I built were even more work than vacuforms. Good luck with this...
Excellent!
One pre-war Navy squadron flew the PH, VP-8, from late 1932 to early 1937. I may be compelled to take an hour off from the current project to whip up a skin.
We miss you too! I sure do and I'm sure I'm not the only one.
Floaters! I once had one so big I could only see around one edge of it, and which edge that was would vary as it floated around...
Hi Milton! It's great to hear from you again!
It's hard to believe that it's been seven years since you built models. But not hard to believe that they still hold up as well as anything anyone's...
I hope you'll find it worth the wait. I think you'll like it, but it's far from finished.
We're going about this project in a bit of reverse direction. As of now our issues are with something of...
The sad thing is that it's not a glitch. MS actually made it that way on purpose! :dizzy:
David asked me to ask this question because he thinks I can write more clearly. I dunno about that, but here goes:
The VC on our current project has throttles, but they don't work with the mouse....
I agree. They are as beautiful as their radial engined predecessors were awkward!
Even without any colors or markings on it you could recognize an Italian airplane at first glance!
Excellent!
At first glance I thought I might l have to update my old pre-WW2 U.S. Coast Guard skin.
But it looks like you've already got that livery covered.
106% !
Woo-HOOO !!
