I'm going to try to get all of the bombs in game today. Above is the Army (black) and Navy (gray) 15kg fragment. I can't find any thinmg that say the IJN used 15kg frags but I did paint one up in navy colors just in case. 800kg GPs. I think I will have to make the nose a point on the larger bombs as they are now dosn't quite look right.

UncleTgt I 99.9% sure rockets can't be fired anyway but forward. Using flak as a player weapon will make the flak expode soon as it leaves the gun and damage the player. You can move the gun away from the aircraft and explode at the set point. Wayland Clears up the Army paint for the 15kg fragment.

That may be good as I don't have much on the larger bombs. The GP 30kg, 50kg, 100kg are done for the most part. They will come in Army black and Navy gray. I'm also working in the 15kg fragment bomb. I'm not sure if the Navy used any of them and the drawing shows part of the bomb is painted but no color is given.

It took a few hours of digging and page tranlate but I found this pic of a 100 kg. The page said it also was the same over all shape for the 50 kg. Using the image and seting it to the measurements of the 30kg also worked fine. I'm going to guess the slight change in fin shape may be a lost "translation" or maybe the fins where change during the war.

You wouldn't happen to have better drawing of the 30, 50 and 100 KGs? The measurement say that the fins and body are not the same size but the drawing show fins and body are the same same size. I don't know what meseument is what....

The link I posted say. "Naval Bombs" "Naval bombs are usually coloured grey with tail fin supporting straps painted green." "Army Bombs" "These are coloured black, with two light bands around the body and a red band about the nose." But I'm kind of confused looking the the pic with the text. I'm going to guess the pic is showing Army Bomb painting.

Weapons are most easy as cake to make for the most part. Get the size is the hard part. I did find this while looking around. It covers a good range of bombs.

You know that they can be made quite easily now. Also if you have the info on the size and shape I can do them.

I use gMax so I don't know how FSDS dose LODs. After you make the BGL use Model Converter X's LOD drop down and check to see if the LODs did export in the BGL and/or if the LOD order got changed. If the LOD are working right in Model Converter X but not in game maybe something in Model Converter X's X-file export is wrong OR I have seen that something in my object make set up is picky. Some times it will re-order LODs or add a empty LOD. To avoid this I found it best to set up LODs so that they start at LOD 100 and move down by 25. Ex: LOD 100, LOD 75, LOD 50 and LOD 25 will be the lowest. Once you had made you object or weapon you can use Model Converter X view the Complete_My_Object.bgl. Load it into Model Converter X and click Set on the popup window. (Note: If you put 32767...

Well that was simple. Exceeded polygon count for a LOD. Deleted all of the rafts and it exported just fine at 13,030 polygons. The polygon count cap is about 18,000 to 19,000 in my testing for a single LOD. Have yet to hit a cap for the whole model with many LODs. I think the max I have ever done for a model including interior and all exterior LODs is 38,752 for the rebuild of the stock B-24D to a B-24J. Your model need to go on a major diet.... Try to get under 15,000 polygons and do the polygon count with ALL parts as Editable Mesh or the count will be wrong.

I wasn't aware that cfs3 model could be converted. Last time I looked nothing could read them other than CFS3.

Try the flight dynamics of these models. Use them to replace what you have.

You didn't answer my question in my first reply. I asked what is it you're trying to achieve? Besides the Ta-152 having a higher service ceiling, how else do you distinguish between the flight dynamics of the two aircraft? What's the difference in your view?

You'll have to be more specific. Besides the Ta-152 having a higher service ceiling, what other characteristics distinguished the flight dynamics of a Ta-152 from that of the Fw-190?

Airfiles are not my department I guess. Sorry. When I cant find an AIR file for a similar AC, I usually ask Bearcat241 for assistance. He's an expert.
