I'm not impressed Jan!
What happened to 'Windows 10 is the final OS'?
It does resemble W8 come to think of it and the promo doesn't look impressive, all bloody laptops and tablets!!!!!

Hey Wombat!
I'm just the messenger here. I thought people would want to know.
I'm not impressed either by the way, even though it will contain goodies under the bonnet that would be beneficial to us: Auto HDR and Directstorage which will improve performance/loading times.
Cheers,

One of the things that is supposed to be addressed are the multiple feature updates we have seen with Windows 10. MS is saying it will be a free upgrade to Windows 10 users.

My computer: ABS Gladiator Gaming PC featuring an Intel 10700F CPU, EVGA CLC-240 AIO cooler (dead fans replaced with Noctua fans), Asus Tuf Gaming B460M Plus motherboard, 16GB DDR4-3000 RAM, 1 TB NVMe SSD, EVGA RTX3070 FTW3 video card, dead EVGA 750 watt power supply replaced with Antec 900 watt PSU.
Well according to the system checker, my 4 year old PC does not meet the requirement for W11!
Mine either Noddy and it should be capable of running the bloody thing at a great rate of knots.

I'm home from work now, ran the check, and even though according to their site, my machine answers fully to the requirements, it says I can't upgrade because I run Windows 10 Enterprise...
Quite a few friends report that they can't upgrade even though their machines should be able to run that new windows. I think there is something seriously wrong with that health checking tool.
Typical Micro$not.
I think it is them who wrote the book "how to shoot myself in the foot, in ten easy lessons". Hell, they got that right after the first lesson!!

Trusted Platform Module (TPM, also known as ISO/IEC 11889) is an international standard for a secure cryptoprocessor, a dedicated microcontroller designed to secure hardware through integrated cryptographic keys. (wikipedia)
Your motherboard should have it, but you probably disabled it in the BIOS or you diabled secure boot.
Again, the so-called health checker is absolute ****.

My old computer rig is still running on Windows 7 Home and is running on a wing and a prayer at this time. I watched the Windows 11 introduction video yesterday and really really like what I saw! Since I'm in the market for a new family/gaming computer, I am going to hold off until the newer computer hardware hits the scene, even it that ends up being next year.
