Question Starting Single and Campaign Missions (Etc.)

Is it possible to start any of the single, campaign missions in the air and at a certain location? You can do it in free flight, but when I fly these two types, I can't find a way to do it. Also, can you fly any of the campaign missions as single missions without having to fly any of the others?

You can edit the missons so your in the air.

You can find the campaign missions in the CAMPAIGNS folder. It will take you some time to find the mission you want. Once you find it copy the mission (both .mis and .dyn file) to the MISSION folder. You can use Mission Builder to open campaign missions by selecting Campaign Mission on the Load Mission Screen. Than save it in the mission folder.

    Steven,

I was sure this kind of thing had been done already.

On an old CD I have:

USN Pacific War Campaign - version 1.0a, plus the v1.2a update
Created by: Gabe "Aviar" Buzasi (e-mail: buzted@msn.com)
    April 2001

    from the readme

"... In this campaign, you will start all missions in the air, over your base or carrier...

***Please do not post any files associated with this campaign on any website without my permission.*** "

Almost certainly I downloaded this from Simviation or somewhere similar, so I suggest you go looking for the following filenames:

    USN_aviar_10a.zip
    USN_aviarUpdate_12a.zip

Could not find them anywhere. Also, Netwings sight is either down or gone. Allen said I can edit the missions to start in the air but my experience I using the MB for anything is nil!

Netwings has been gone for years...

You can open any mission and find the player aircraft and you should be able to drag it off of the base/runway and you should now start in the air.

Also read Cody Coyote's CFS2 Mission Building Handbook

Yes I know its here some place but where...
