    I was doing some more research on reticles and discovered that in 1944 they started modifying the gunsight in the Tempest to eliminate the angled glass plate and let the image reflect off the windshield. You can simulate this mod with a hex edit of the reflector glass in the cockpit m3d to make it fully transparent (00 00 00 00 instead of 00 00 00 19, and then use this positioning for the dynamig reticle:

    The Mark III projector sight.
    First used in Hawker Tempest V in Feb 1944.
    The reflector screen was removed and the graticule modified to a plain 100 mph ring and dot. The 2 control rings were replaced by one ring that moved the graticule forward or backwards. A dual purpose graticule with an adjustable ring for rocket firing and a dot for the guns.

    Talking of which, here are 2 pictures from Theo Boiten's 'Nachtjagd War Diaries' Vol 1 of a nighttime gun camera and the revi sight in the NJ aircrfat (?Bf110E?). I am not sure of if it was an at all illuminated sight.
