    Some screens from the release version... Carenado's A36 and Alabeo's Extra 300 are pretty great!

    I wanted to show this screenshot. There is so much in it that you wont believe. It looks horrible (not artistic) but the details I want to show you.

    First, I am flying away from the sun, early in the morning, the sun coming in through the back window. From there, you see the sunlight reflecting off my front LCD screen (very harsh as like it would be in real life). See the steering wheel shadow on the panel leather? See the shadows all around?

    Now, if you look carefully, you can also see a shadow or reflection of the rudder on the windshield (I am certain its a shadow). The shadow is under that overhead tab thing, top left in the windshield area, a bullet looking thing about half way up. I think it was showing on the prop. That means it was going through the rear window, around the rudder, over the instrument panel and between the seats, through the front window, and onto the prop disc.

    DO YOU KNOW HOW SOPHISTICATED THAT IS???????????????????????

    DANG~!!!!!!

    I really like how it reflects off of the various LCD screens though.

    @Lionheart

    LockMart guys did an AWESOME job on the shadowing. Yesterday night I spent twenty minutes just looking at shadows while my aicraft was moving up and down on a lift of Javier's Nimitz.

    @Francois

    P3Dv2 default content is basically the same as "vanilla" FSX. Good news is that the vast majority of add-on sceneries and aicrafts are compatible right now!

    This sim has got to be the best thing yet for taking screenshots... I could never take screenshots like this in V1 or FSX. The detail level is incredible, and yet its the same resolution. I cant figure it out.

    The seams on the tops of the yellow Fairchild are perfectly visible.

    A few more. Sorry.. Addict here... Like having a new camera that takes better screenshots then you ever had.

    I am using the 'V' key to grab the shots, then import them to Photoshop and convert them to highest stage JPG, crop and save.

    @Francois

    Apart from my own aicrafts, in my screenshots I have used:

    U.S. photoreal scenery from Bluesky for FSX - works perfectly with P3D and it free and absolutely on par with commercial ones...

    http://www.blueskyscenery.com/download.html

    Tuscany from OZx (includes North Tuscany, Elba Island and other minor islands nearby)...

    ...was hosted here: http://aussiex.org/forum/
    ...but does not seem to work at the moment I am writing.

    Not the best quality shot as it's been compressed by facebook but it shows off the real time shading nicely.

    Grazie Dino !!

    Made a flight over Umbria and it is already looking better after I went through all the settings..... my X52 throttle is not working yet, will need to read Bill's tips once more.
    The shading and clouds are GREAT indeed ! :-)

    That Bluesky Scenery looks amazing. I may have to try that. I'll bet that is a HUGE group of downloads. :S

    So this spanning multiple monitors thing seems to be easy to set up. Oh and the VC shading that's neat too.
    And yes my framerates were pretty low at this stage!

    Man, those wide screenshots rock! Must be nice. Do you have liquid nitrogen cooled graphics cards for that?

    Love the screenshots crashz . When I did a new PC built last Aug I decided on the GTX 760 2GB VRAM and I got factory OC'd version . I just saw Newegg had them rated pretty good http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130934 and list them for $259 . People reading this keep in mind the 760 is not close to the Titan but it is very good DX 11 card and has all the bells and whistles that runs P3D 2.0 very well . I believe " Tom's Hardware" had an article on them too .

    Prepar3DV2 is in my opinion visually really a great evolutionary step ahead from FSX. Dino Cattaneos wonderfull F-14 over Nevada (BlueSky Scenery).
