Got back to the KLM flight for the Athens - Mersa Matrohs leg. On climbout, I looked down and spotted this contemporary of the DC-2. Then after I did a 180 headed south and spotted this ol' battlewagon. All in all, a good day to cross the Med...

A bit foggy in Northern Egypt today. Enough so that I did a couple of laps circling above the wrong airport trying to get my bearings to the right one.
Next stop on the 1934 timetable is Gaza Airport. But the current one in FS9 didn't exist back then. So, I'm looking at other local options.

Headed on to Baghdad via Jerusalem. I got a bitt off course in the middle of the desert. That would have been hard to explain to KLM headquarters. Fortunately, I was able to throw in a little "kentucky windage" on a course correction to get me close enough pick up the NDB signal for Baghdad when I got in range.....

A couple more DC-2 shots. I'm not sure why Pan Am would have a -2 sitting up at the Granville Brothers, but thought it would make a good shot. Just parked the KLM flight at Karachi.

Took the Heron in Cambrian livery to 'Tiger Bay' (where else!); below the right wing is site of RAF Pengam Moors; where a certain Guy Gibson parked a Blenheim while attending his own wedding in Penarth.
Pengam was home to Cambrian until 1954 when everything moved to Rhoose.

Time for some peace.

The first payware I bought for FS9. Decided to take it up for a little spin from Labrador to Greenland. I really need to fly this more often.

Love those shots of the AOP9 flying along over the airfield. They provide a convincing example of how well the standard camouflage scheme works.

Some new repaints for David Wooster's F9F-6/8 Cougar by Juan Antonio Martinez C. were posted on Flightsim dot Com a couple of weeks ago, breathing new life into this slightly older but well built bird.
Was out testing my new Golden Wings install and found a train to chase

Needed a default DC-3 in late '30s KLM paint for an upcoming AI project. I think this will do nicely.

Good memories of chasing trains, thanks. Oh, how that fun Bill Lyons creation is missed here now.
Am remembering the first time lining up with it in a crosswind & landing on it... or trying to, anyhoo.
Not a solid landing surface unfortunately though the wings sticking out from a car mid-train made
for a cool screenshot, heh! Flying online- hope to try this one day before long. :-) Good shots, all.
