Blimey Heck .. Stuka ...now a P-38 ... what else is under the covers , maybe a JU-88 .. we'll stick with a 38 at the mo but if < not if when: you sell fifty dose that mean a 88 could be hiding behind another sheet <input id="gwProxy" type="hidden"><input jscode="leoInternalChangeDone()" onclick="if(typeof(jsCall)=='function'){jsCall();} else{setTimeout('jsCall()',500);}" id="jsProxy" type="hidden">

You can't have too many P-38s. Looks nice!

    sweet!
You can find most of my repaints for FSX/P3D in the library here on the outhouse.
For MFS paints go to flightsim.to

We're deffo fixing and repainting the VC of the J and L... but... do we do the same for the external?

    Opinions and comments are welcome.

    Hi,

I've deleted the FSD P-38 from my hard drive, but if I remember correctly the J and L cockpits were too black and glossy. I fact, because of that, it was hard to see the elevator trim wheel. I would prefer the look of the SU P-38 cockpits, but with the increased resolution of yours. I still fly the SU P-38. I've been hooked on P-38's since Copley's freeware P-38 for FS 9. I love the sound of those engines.

I'm looking forward to this new iteration.

    Joe

Colin, I think the external looks good. The repainting of the VC seems to be what is really needed.

I agree with stovall. The exterior looks pretty darned good to me. I'm glad you're updating the VCs...

The only major update the external needs is to an F-5 variant
Of course, a Droop Snoot and P-38M Pathfinder would be nice as well, but I'll take what I can get, even if it is just an updated cockpit.

As for the other variants, the externals work just fine for me.

Same here. The externals are very well done as they are. I love the intake areas of the front engine nacelles! What a great detail.
I'd take it with an updated VC on the double.

Basing visuals in comparison to the latest workings of the F-86 externals, I like the F-86 appearance-in-immersion factor. Is that possible to the P-38?

  16. #16
That's the idea... Hence the term... Redux. We're going to bring not only the look/feel but operations and flight up to MV's standards.

  17. #17
In that case, I'm in. I was a bit lost in the term "REDUX". As to the extent in/of.
I've had interest in the P-38 for quite sometime but never took the plunge for FSX/P3D. Like others who mention David Copely and his creations, your bringing it out in "REDUX" will be on my "want" list.
I look forward to hearing more news on the project.

One thing to be sure of:

we are removing ALL traces of ANY FSD code, DRM and anything else.
