    Matts Sopwith Camel Project

Ive been working on this on and off for some years but now that there is something worth showing I thought you may be interested to see this. Cant say what the future holds for this project except that I dont think I will be giving this mesh away as I did the Phantom simply because it is a far more complex model and I've invested a lot more time in it. We'll see what happens. I would like to finish it myself but that depends on many factors. The mesh is pretty much finished apart from the pilot figure and then it will have to be onto texturing. Anyhow I'm pleased with it so far.

    Looks very good, Matt.

Your meticulous attention to detail definitely shows. And I see a lot of time invested to get you to the point of showing us.
Not to mention, it looks like it would be a fun one to texture if you've mapped every little piece. My kind of texture projects.

I look forward to see your progress.

    GREAT JOB!

I'd love to have a snoopy plane for my hanger!

I'm glad the attention to detail notices... I've modelled this in the way that I make Steam Trains... If I can see it in photos then it gets added... with a few exceptions... There are some rivets on the front of the cowl which only show up in very close photos which I decided to Bump map rather than solid model.

Texturing... yeh have to say I'm not looking forward to the process of mapping that out. gonna be a big job! Just try to keep end result in mind and plug away.
