    If it is anywhere near as good as the Canon 85 1.8, I'm sure it is quite the lens! They seem to be among the best bang for your buck.

    Definitely post some pics if/when you get it!


    I wish I had a reason to get the Canon one. I really won't have a reason to get it once I have the 15-85 in my hands next month.

    You don't want the large apertures of the 85 primes?

    If I were a Canon owner, I'd be drooling over the L 85mm f 1.2

    Hey if I had that kind of money I'd probably own one. I'm not making quite that much at my new job. If I did have that kind of money I'd probably own a 100-400 and a few zeiss lenses...

    I am sure if I shot portraits I would buy the 85 1.8. It is a killer lens for the money. There are plenty of people who would happily call it a L.
