    MyPaint

    Hey Guys,

Came across a new graphics program a few minutes ago... Anybody ever tried it?

    First Impressions

    Hey Guys,

I installed MyPaint a couple of minutes ago and first impressions are pretty cool

I wouldn't say it was geared towards creating textures for Flight Simulator (Does not support BMP, PSD or PSP formats) but if you enjoy creating posters and sketches, then you'll probably enjoy it.

Another couple of freebies - Photoscape & FotoSketcher

Interesting set-up, but I still use Paint.Net and PSP X.2

    Hey Seagull,

    I'm liking FotoSketcher very much

It's given me some ideas for some old photographs that are a little too blurry to be printed.

    Thank you for the link

    Hey Guys,

Installed PhotoScape a couple of hours ago... Awesome!

The attachments below show a screenshot of the Iris freeware Warhawk.
The first one is taken right out of FS 2004. The second was processed through PhotoScape.

Thank you for the heads up on these programs, Seagull

    Hello Stratobat

There are quite a few interesting freeware programs around, while there are some add-ons for some of the other paint type programs these two are handy to have.

    Hey Seagull,

It's always interesting to see how you can combine capabilities from different programs into a finished product

Been playing with the free version of Artweaver for the past few days - http://www.artweaver.de/

    Hello Stratobat

Looks like a nice addition to the paint type programs.

It always amazes me how many of these programs you can go from one to another, but the MicroBucks software is made so it only runs in one small set of programs or you need to spend MegaBucks to buy the capability that is needed !!!!!

If only CFS1, 2, & 3 & FS 98, 2000, 2002, 2004, FSX were all user friendly with capability to import the train & ship programs and then be able to easily repaint and remodel/upmodel/downmodel the various items. Think of how much fun you could have instead of tearing ones hair out.
