Oh Man. . .I'm not a fan of the extremely slow aircraft of old. . .but this just seems to be one that will be a must have just on general principles, lol. Beautiful job. . .love the prop.:salute:

Wow ,looks awsome,great detail.
With a cruise speed of approx 95mph, it'll keep up with a lot of modern GAI'm not a fan of the extremely slow aircraft
I'm strictly a VC guy, and that is cockpit is wonderful.
But truthfully, my first impulse was I'd buy it for the prop detail alone.
I think I can see why some guys just buy cars and planes and never fly 'em.
Just rub them with a soft diaper everyday. Admire them.
That S.E.5 ranks right up there....

Awesome attention to detail! Definately a must have for my WWI hanger!

I think it looks fantastic. The only reason why I would not purchase is that in Rise Of Flight i already have one that flies, shots fokker and even crashes!!
Yep count me in for the SE5 as well!
Beautiful work!

It is great to finally see another FSX native WW-I fighter as there aren't many around yet!

Every stitch put in by hand you know...
Changing that mag in a dogfight would have been suicidal.
The list is:
Geared Hispano Suiza "Hisso" twin blade and fourblade props
Geared Hispano Suiza "Hisso" short stack exhaust as flown by McCudden VC
Wolseley Viper twin blade
Wolseley Viper Four Blade
Interesting info on colour. Apparently the shade used varied immensely and when in the field would weather from a brackish green to dark chocolate. The first "colour-change" finish?...
I am voting for the green... the "fresh look".

Hi Jan...yes we obviously don't have lives here...
This aeroplane is right up my alley! I live for vintage aircraft, and the work on this one looks absolutely superb!
I'm especially glad your doing the early Se.5 version. Personally I think it was the best looking of the breed, the tapered nose with the 150hp Hispano-Suiza being far more pleasing to the eye than the boxy 220hp Wolsey Viper.
Will be watching for it's release with great anticipation!

Well we have the Viper also just to ring the changes. Agreed, the Hisso is the better looking I think. The Viper looks as if the radiator was an afterthought! Still, it got the job done and was far more reliable in the field than the Hispano.
I have heard of something called an SE6 which apparently was a sort of SE5B with a retractable radiator and streamlined nose. Only the prototype was built as production came to an end at the end of the war. Does anyone have any more info?
Bite the back of your hand Beautiful, absolutely stunning! my vote is for worn weathered ones too, as well as some pristine!

A few more shots I took during a dusk flight:
Nice work guys, but seems an odd choice for FSX when there is already a native one on the market. With such a limited selection of WWI aircraft to chose from, I presume this model is based on a personal passion for the aircraft?
Either way...
Cheers,
Nick

wwwwwwoooooooooooowwwwwwwww omg that looks cool , love the prop .im not a fan of ww1 aircraft but this is really nice ...love the VC also ..very nice work lads
Will definitely be getting this. I was watching a programme the other night about McCudden and thinking that I should look out for an SE5A in FSX and this comes right along - perfect!
This makes up for having to work this weekend
