USS Northampton (CLC-1)

This is the ship my Dad served on back in 1953 while she was being commissioned in Quincy, Massachusetts. He said it was a communications ship and it was easy to spot her or identfy her by the tall communication mast. I have searched around the web and found the following three photo's but I want more info on this ship. I love the black and white shots! Would love to see more shot of her as well as info on her journey. I have looked at the Wiki page as well.

"Also would be cool to see her in FSX."

I will send the link to my Dad, thank you!!!! Very cool website and love all the shots and info. Looking at some of the photos just takes me away, man...too bad she was scrapped. Would have love to see her and touch her. Something about old Navy ships and aircraft. Just makes you sit back and ponder.
