    Coffman starter ...hey, helldiver!!!

You mentioned that most (all) of the Grumman's had this type of starter system ... do you have any idea about any other models having it ... like TDB, SBD, TBF, F4U, and any others?

I directed this to Helldiver ... but ya'll jump right in if you know something.

I found my old post (pre crash) ... the answers were there for the most part ... only Grummans used it.

In the remake of "Flight of the Phoenix" there are several engine starts on the P&W R2800 engines using the Coffman starter.

I know it was used on Spitfires, Hurricanes, Typhoons and Tempests.

Was it also used on Mustangs and Merlin engined P-40s?

    Fireman's prayer

Give me the strength to save a life,Whatever be its age
Help me to embrace a little child, Before it is too late
Or save an older person from The horror of that fate
Enable me to be alert and Hear the weakest shout
And quickly and efficiently To put the fire out
I want to fill my calling and To give the best in me
To guard my every neighbor And protect their property
And if according to your will I have to lose my life
Please bless with your protecting hand My children and my wife.

For those not aware of Lawdog's engine files, he has several that include or have the option of using the Coffman starter.
