    John Woodward's Alon Ercoupe

Anyone use this neat little GA plane? I just discovered it earlier today, and am already up to my navel in working on it. Ran the MDL through MDLC to make it reflective, did some hex editing to fix the prop blur and VC gauges after the reflective conversion. Am working on a much more detailed paint template now instead of sleeping.

Anyhow, just wondering if anyone has done a flight dynamics package for the plane.

I fly Ito sans myself. I'm not the wiz with mods that you are but I like it's paint's better and it seems to fly fine in my FS2004.

FS2002/FS2004 ERCO 415 Ercoupe. This plane was designed by several engineers at the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (NACA) in response to a Bureau of Air Commerce design competition during the mid 1930s for an easy-to-fly, safe airplane. The Engineering and Reseach Company (ERCO) was founded to develop the design. The 415 utilized a two-control system with a control wheel linking the rudder, ailerons and nose wheel. The wheel also controlled the elevator. This arrangement eliminated the need for rudder pedals. Four kind of models and five kind of paint examples are included. By Kazunori Ito.

Back when Mr. Ito's came out there was a long thread on it with lots of changes to get it to fly like the real one. John Humphries has done a lot of repaints for it too including the one I had (N3191H).
Both work fine in FSX w/SP1, on mine the panel and interior has also been redone to be a close as I could get to the one I had.

I had that website for a few years, but back around the first of this year it and the fellow hosting it dissappeared. some day when i have a bucket of time, i'll try to get them uploaded here, but with slow dialup it takes forever.

    Found some repaints!

Found three zip files by Leon Louis at AVSIM with 14 repaints. File names are: ercadl3.zip, ercoupe_addon_l2.zip, and ercoupe_addonl1.zip. These are for John Woodards aircraft. Enjoy.

Leon's paints are for the FS2002 version of John's Ercoupe. They can be made to work..takes some renaming, some deleting and some file additions.

One of Leon's repaints is N3191H, the coupe that I had years back, he did it from a photo I had sent him. From a screen shot ofthat repaint Mr. Humphries did the repaint of it for Mr. Ito's Ercoupe then another member here at MAC redid the panel bitmap to a black and the interior to blue and I regauged the panels in both to as close as I could get to what I had in the real one.
