IL2 Announcement

Hi guys


Just dropping in to Sim-Outhouse today for a quick announcement...

Yesterday, an exclusive Development Diary was launched exclusively with GameSpot (view it here http://uk.gamespot.com/xbox360/sim/i...ind-the-scenes) and tomorrow the official IL2 website will be updated with more dev diaries (video and text), new information (including images) on 11 new planes and a host of news updates.

Keep an eye out tomorrow afternoon at http://www.il2game.com/ to see them first...

I see X-Box, but no mention of PC. IMHO firmly places IL2 in the GAME genre and will not appeal to the simmer at all. What is an X-Box anyhoo?

as near as i can tell the only thing IL2 X-box has to do with IL2 PC is the name. i don't think Maddox had or has anything to do with IL-2 Sturmovik the console game...could be wrong tho.

Storm of War...which was originally advertised with a release date of November 2006...is a totally different entity.

supposedly its 80% complete now and being talked about a 2010 release date...

i wonder how much percent complete it was in Nov. 2006

The official word from 505 Games:

"At the current time we are concentrating on are bringing IL-2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey to a new console audience"

The PS3 & Xbobx 360 versions are looking pretty sweet...
