    Interesting biplane should be simple.

    S.n.c.a.s.e. se-3000?

[I apologise for the lower case - it seems that some sort of predictive text is operating with the result that, despite however many times I type upper case, lower case letters appears for all but the first one. It doesn't seem to be my computer, as I've typed the same on another website and it stays in upper case, so I must assume that it is this website.]

Well I will give it a go, Mike. You are barking up the wrong tree, this being a machine of historical interest, and particularly to me (hint hint). It has a Gipsy Six driving the rotors.
(so far, so good with the keyboard !)

Ah, I now see that it's on a different scale to the SE-3000. Thus I assume that it is the Weir W-6.

  8. #23058
I'm having site trouble too - the Edit function has gone doolally...

Yes, the W-6, Mike, from . Made the first helicopter passenger-carrying flight in Britain, October 1939. Over to you.

Very pleasant day here - a minimum of gardening, then a glass or two of chilled Chambéry.

  9. #23059
    Thank you, Mike.

I hope that you enjoyed your Chambéry. It's an acquired taste and I wouldn't have thought it to be widely available in the UK. Me, I enjoyed lunch, in the garden, of a well afiné Comté, fresh bread and a bottle of Saumur Champigny. Heaven!

Here's an attractive little two seater, whose bigger brother put in an appearance a few years back.

This deer little thing dates from the fifties but was substantially rebuilt in the eighties. It twice underwent engine changes, getting something more powerful each time. I believe that it is extant today.

That is the Andermat Bomber. Last seen in south Texas around 1916.

  18. #23068
Plane from Texas over to Texas you have control

    Chris

  19. #23069
Thanks Chris. Just happened to be researching the Andermat recently.

    A biplane but much smaller.

  20. #23070
It's a little off the beaten path. This one showed up in 1934.

  21. #23071
The design duo built three original biplanes and this was their second effort. They later produced licensed gliders.

    Not from USA or Europe.

  22. #23072
    Hails from South America...

This is an obscure one for sure. From Argentina, the Sfreddo & Paolini SYP-II.

    Open house-

  24. #23074
We've found 2 of their 3. Anyone find the third of the Sfreddo & Paolini aircraft
