I think that is the Max Plan PF.204 from
Been trying to access the Belgian Aviation History Association site ( a great reference ) with no luck. Let's hope this is a temporary glitsch ??
Mike, you can try the archived site at:
https://web.archive.org/web/20171216...gian-wings.be/
It is a bit slower but it seems that all pages are accessible there.
I have shown the Max Plan PF.204

So let's try this rather modern aircraft, at least compared to the last mysteries.

I don't think it was very successful, I'm going to have to declare open house as I don't have anything that the old hands at this would have any trouble identifying.
i was going to think that was a cessna skyhook...but i guess not
Not difficult but just a beautiful photo.
Bonus points for location and year...
Wibault 280 series, probably a 283T. As you say, Kevin, a lovely atmospheric photo. As to where and when, I'd guess at Le Bourget, 1934.
Wibault 280, F-AMHM, Le Bourget, 12 September 1933. Off to Russia with M. Pierre Cot, Ministre de l'Air.
Sounds like Lefty had a more definitive source!
Edit: Whoever wants to run with the baton go for it (Mike & Mike).

Mike (Lefty) hit the nail on the head. I defer. The baton is in his hand.
No thanks - Pomme Homme got it long before I found another photo with the Russian story ! Might be completely unconnected - please carry on Mike..
In fact I'm totally wrong - the 280 had naked undercarriage (as befits a French lady) while the 283 had elegant spats...
How hard do I have to try to throw off the shackle? Obviously I've not tried hard enough! Thus I succumb. However it'll be some time tomorrow before I can make the next offering.
I think that is the Gourdou-Leseurre GL B.7
