Thanks Robert - bit of luck really - that very photo featured in my dear old 1926 Jane's....along with a 3-view that didn't look much like it.
Time to get back to the water with this purposeful machine....

Sinister appearance leads to the Nakajima-Breguet 19-A2B.
Yes indeed - well spotted -
Thanks Mike.
Back to one wing, a really thick one!
One built in the early 1920's. From a major company.
Edit: Found a top view.

Powered by a 180hp Hispano-Suiza, it caused a mild stir at the Salon as it didn't look like any of the other aircraft at the time.

That's the one. The original F.200. There was a later model with the same designation.
Great numbers are usually reserved for great designs.
If a design fails why not re-use its number?
Here comes my offer (again from the 1920ies)

From a smaller Eastern country.
The craft’s name looks pretty generic at first sight. But a closer look reveals that this is related to the designer’s name.

Thanks Uli - I wasn't sure how much 'Eastern' it was !
Here's a pleasant little amphibian which, to save a lot of searching, is NOT either Canadian or American....
With a tent bearing the legend SAMU 91, the photograph must have been taken in .....
I'd say that this amphibian is the Lendepergt LP.01 Sybille of 1984.
Yes, I thought about taking out the SAMU 91 (what is it ? some Gallic aero frivolity ?)
Lendepergt it is (what a strange name) - over to you Mike
As to SAMU, it is the French ambulance service, and the 19 is, I presume, an indication that the photograph was taken in the Corrèze (département 19) rather than the emergency telephone number to be called for that service (which is 15).
With apologies for the delay, here's a little oddity.
European and dating from the late eighties. It borrows its name from a cartoon character.

There's nothing to be added to that, Uli, other than to say that it's entirely correct ! Over to Germany.
Thank you Mike,
here comes another funny number:
