Guys,
I have attached the textures for the AI Spitfire to this post. As I intend to do some more, I will do a larger upload to the library ,once I made up my mind, and decided which repaints I want to include
You can use the attached textures is different ways;
- You can drop the contents from the texture.KLL folder into the texture.DWN folder in the AI_SpitfireMKI subfolder inside your aircraft folder. As the traffic file made by Ian calls fro the textures.DWN the alternative textures will show up.
- You can insert the complete texture.KLL folder inside your AI_SpitfireMKI subfolder inside your aircraft folder, and create a new traffic file for the model with these textures.
- Or you can insert the complete texture.KLL folder inside your AI_SpitfireMKI subfolder inside your aircraft folder, and wait until Ian creates a new traffic file for the model with these textures.
Due to some limitation of the model, the repaint has some shortcomings. The textures do not cover the complete radiators. Hard to notice, but I still wanted to mention. When Gary did these models I don't think he had the White & Night scheme in mind. Because a more visible problem is that both wheel covers are white. And finally there is no way to paint the pitot tube. So it is Sky instead of black. But, it is free and from a distance I think it looks quite nice!

And to Ian; GW is absolutely the best way to fly FS2004
