Hope to get back to being more active soon

I've been away from Anything Flight Sim for over a month now for many reasons:
Hip Replacement Surgery in Early September (first weeks of recovery were slow and painful). Coming along much better now, no longer using a cane and working on walking correctly again (minus the limp it took me 8 months of hip pain to perfect, lol).
A week ago I tested positive for Covid (despite early Moderna Vaccinations and two boosters). So I'm just finishing my last round of meds for that and feel fine.

Now I'm about a week away from moving out of the Apartment I've been in for the last 15 years and moving to a more age friendly and income based Apartment just down the highway. . . .which means I've also been slowly packing what I can with my limited restrictions after surgery. I hope to be in my new "crib" by the end of the month and of course that means a break in online access until the cable folks can get me hooked up and running in a timely manner.

Anyway, with all that I hope to get back to doing some new airports and flying a lot more that I have been as quick as possible.

Striker, listen, and you listen close: flying a plane is no different than riding a bicycle, just a lot harder to put baseball cards in the spokes.

Glad to hear you are doing well Ed and good luck with the move. I still miss our almost daily chats on TS3. I've not even fired up a flight sim (FSX or FS9) since May 5th of '22 (even longer since I fired up MAX) and I need to do some major repairs to my rudder pedals before I can fly again! We recently acquired a new puppy and she almost completely severed the USB cable from the pedals while lying under my desk a couple of weeks ago!

I 'think' I can re-wire the remaining unchewed stub of USB cable but it will absolutely need a USB extender cable between the pedals and tower!

Sorry to hear about your hip surgery and glad to hear that you are recovering from the surgery. I wish you more success for continuing smooth and comfy recovery.

We should be thankful not only for your freeware airport sceneries but also for your corrections and repairs to FSX default airport sceneries that Microsoft designed and made in wrong way.

    Regards,

    Aharon

Glad to hear that your recovery is going well. As you know, moving can be exciting and a little stressful. Don't over do it. Wish you the best of luck in the new place.

I appreciate all the good wishes. Thanks for checking in. As with most moves, you're always glad once you're in and settled, especially if all goes according to plan, lol. One more week and I'll know if the "plan" worked, lol
