New video card-now CFS3 will not run

I installed the card and updated the video card drivers.
The first time I ran the game it said my config was out of date, so I ran config, fixed all the settings in user data and now it crashes after the first splash screen.

    What am I forgetting?

is your configoverrides file set to Read Only? Uncheck it before running config or editing the overrides file.

No, it is not set to read only.

I didn't say but I'm running win 10 and I went from a GTX 650TI to a GTX 1660TI. Should I have to do anything with the NVIDIA program/settings?

    Thanks

delete the uisel.xml in the AppData pathway, then restart.

I tried that and still get the notice that the program stopped working after the first startup screen.

When you ran cfs3config.exe did you set the resolution and bit depth to match your native screen resolution?

    Thanks, it's now working again.

My display information said it was 1920x1080 8-bit, but in config it had a choice for 1920x1080 x 32? That's what I selected. I think it had been set to "use default resolution". The only "bits" I could find was under Z Bios Resolution and it was set to 15. I did not change it.

thanks for posting the fix. I guess the moral of the story is always use the resolution native to the monitor.

I think any Win10 with a new card should be maximum display which is 1920x1080 32 bit, unless one's monitor is really old. Check out Andy's cfg file somewhere here. That's what I always use.
