Today, Sept. 15th, marks the official memorial day of the Battle of Britain, the day when the RAF and it's multi national pilots delivered a decisive and tide turning blow to the Luftwaffe. Winston Churchill forever memorialized these brave and dedicated pilots as "The Few". And although Great Britain is mourning the loss of Her Majesty, the Queen and all services for the Battle of Britain Day have been moved back a week, let us here at SOH reflect and pay tribute to The Few. May their service to their country and the world never be forgotten and may they always serve as an shining example of courage, bravery and dedication to duty. May those lost during the fight, and those lost in later years Rest in Peace.
