As the original poster...I'm ANNOYED. Every time one of you posts with your list, I see one or more things on it and go "Damn! I didn't think of that one. Yeah...I want one of those too..." The CV-240/T-29 is only the latest...

    Keep it coming!

I would like to take a different angle: Heinkel He-162, Messerschmitt Me-163, Martin Baker MB5, North American F-108 and, but this would be a huge undertaking I guess: the Messerschmitt Me 263 and the Daimler Benz A. So: mostly planes that flew not at all or very rerely in reality but that we can experience in our simulator.

I'd give my left pinkie (it doesn't work anyway) for an L1049! I'm also (im)patiently waiting for a HondaJet that is in development.

I'd be interested in a plane which is replacing the Islander here in the UK as a police observer: the Italian Vulcanair (formerly Partenavia) P.68.
It's also used by civilian, military and government operators around the world and has been in production since 1972, so steam gauge and glass cockpit variants could be modelled with quite a range of liveries.

    Harrier (any)
    Tornado GR1-3
    Jaguar GR1-3
    Lockheed Hercules C-130
    Avro 698 Vulcan
    Bell UH-1D
    Westland Lynx
    Westland Wessex
    Sikorsky CH-53
    Boeing CH-47 "Chinook"

If any of these will be released, I will take a change to MSFS into account - not until then!
    Best regards, Manfred.

    Here goes:

Mirage III - ideally a C, E or S... basically something to play in the Alps with
F-104S - if the TF-104G pans out for SSW I imagine its inevitable they'll update the G and S for MSFS as well.
    EE Lightning
    Hawker Hunter - (any)
Folland Gnat (a man can dream)
    SEPECAT Jaguar - GR1.A/GR3
    T-38A
    Beech Staggerwing

Anything with a arresting hook if FSX (or better) level carrier ops ever comes to pass.

Loads of good suggestions already. In addition, I'd like to mention:

    Mirage F-1
    F-5A/B Freedom Fighter
    Alpha Jet
    F-101 Voodoo
    J-32 Lansen
    P-39 Airacobra
    Fiat CR-32/42
    Boeing P-26
    Macchi C.202 Folgore
    A5M Claude
    F-84 Thunderjet/Thunderstreak

... and we definitely need a T-33 (as already suggested).

    Oooh, very nice!
You can find most of my repaints for FSX/P3D in the library here on the outhouse.
For MFS paints go to flightsim.to

Mossie and B-25, don't care what variant.

  19. #44
This is tough, because I think most of us would simply settle for "All of them!" Until then, my list:

    P-39
Mossie (Come on, Dave, what's taking so long? Oh right, the other plane you're working on. )
Privateer (-2 single tail with dual .50 blisters)
    V-22
    V-280
T-7A (On Dino's to do list, but it will be awhile)
    Cessna Crusader
Rutan Catbird (Long shot, but why not)
    Glasair III RG
    Velocity V-Twin
    Convair 990
    Gripen JAS-39
    Rockwell Jet Commander
Rockwell Sabreliner (Isn't one of these being worked on? Or was that P3D?)
    Lockheed Jetstar II
    F-86H

That should cover it for now. It's difficult to minimize the list. I should note that I didn't add anything that was made in the past by Carenado, such as the Aero-Commanders, as I figure they will eventually convert those to MSFS.

Yes! Finally someone brings up rotary wing.
    I would add:

    AH1 Gazelle
OH 58 Kiowa (or Bell Jet Ranger)
UH-60 Blackhawk...or even better: Seahawk with littoral ops, USCG or Navy versions
    MH-6 Little Bird

I think your forget that, with the launch of MSFS on XBox, that it is now the gaming kiddies that make up the majority of the market of MSFS.

And I don't think that someone's taste in aircraft is an indication of whether the individual is an adult or not. Tastes and preferences in aircraft have nothing to do with being a grown up. They're exactly that: tastes and preferences.

Priller...If I had to guess, I don't think Paul was trying to disrespect anyone...I think he was alluding to the old Tom Gibson "Jets are for kids" mantra...and expressing his agreement with that sentiment.
