Thanks for the pointer, but (maybe I'm wrong), but there's something not quite right with the fuselage. It seems too rounded.

    You're right. Much too rounded.

Most of the rest of it looks okay, though, and the new payware Nieuport has major shape issues also, which nobody seems to mind. And the price is right! It seems to look good from the cockpit.

I will be interested to try it out tonight, and see how it flies.

The shape issue isn't obvious when you're actually flying it. It is fun to fly!

Yes, it looks pretty good from the cockpit, and it is fun to fly. Flight behavior seems similar to the Nieuport - which is to say, terrible as a simulation of a rotary powered WWI scout, it doesn't try nearly hard enough to kill you with torque, gyro, adverse yaw, capricious stall/spin, etc., but enjoyable for that very reason. I will tend to think of both of them not as FS versions of the original planes, but more as representations of the replica kits that have been marketed by Airdrome and other companies for homebuilders, powered by Rotax or VW engines or whatever, with fat forgiving airfoils and most of the bad habits bred out of them. That notion would suit the modern environment of MSFS, and would explain away the shape and skin inaccuracies of both airplanes as well as the easy flight models.

it's very good, it's a pity we don't have the pilot
English is not my native language, I ask your indulgence.
    Correct me, if you will.

Not fat enough either Priller, too lean. The Nieuport 17C is ace on, I just love flying that crate.

I'm with Priller. It looks more like a Pfalz. And as any fule kno, it is "Tripehound". Still, anything is welcome at this stage, and we should be encouraging.
Rats - why won't anything work properly first time?

Especially freebies like this. The freeware market needs as much encouragement as it can get, especially in the aircraft arena!

In the flightsim.to comments, Mykrode has said that he'll be adding a pilot and possibly a compass to the cockpit along with a paintkit soon. The rear fuselage shape has been mentioned by another user so that may be updated too.
Meanwhile I've turned mine into more of a modern replica of a DR1, which can be landed and taxied in a straight line but still has no brakes. I've also made the Red Baron livery more red than orange - the cockpit view of the middle wing reminded me of a salmon steak!
