    SU5+Hotfixes+21H1

My "craptop" has been on 21H1 for some time now. But when I decided to bring my game rig up from 2004, the update kept failing, time after time. I tried several things I found online, but none of them worked. Then yesterday I came home from work and my rig was pending a restart for updates. I decided to see what they were, and was shocked to find that 21H1 had finally downloaded and was waiting to install! It took a while - even for this fast machine, but it went smoothly. I just got done with a (very) quick hop in the TBM from PHJR to PHNL just to see what it would look like, and it was quite nice. I think the lowest framerate I saw the entire time was 29. It still does some odd things like not starting the screensaver sometimes, but I'll live with that. Besides, a restart always fixes that. Just reboot and walk away, then about five and a half minutes later, the Matrix code is dripping down my screens. Now I'm looking forward to doing some real flying tomorrow.

Had a similar problem with 21H. Tried 3 times to download it over the period of a week. Then gave up....... but left my PC on. Surprise surprise.... the next morning it had downloaded all by itself !!! Windowzzzzzz.....

Microsoft offers a tool to "force" the download of the latest build of Windows 10, the Windows 10 update assistant: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/soft...load/windows10

I had to re-install all MS software (MS Shop, Xbox and MSFS) before it worked again. Having said that, my last update was from September last year.......

Just like MSFS, Windows 10 is something that you want to keep up to date. If only for security reasons. And us flightsimmers, we have more reasons!

My system didn´t notice that upgrade even when I looked for it. So, used the update assistant by Microsoft everything went smoothly and no problems with MSFS

    Completely agreed.
My Windows 10 showed 21H1 as an "optional" update for months, until a day (about 1 month ago) it decided it was time to download and install itself, which was quick and smooth (more than I had imagined).
It did not affect MSFS at all.
