    FSUIPC4.dll Error?

Has anyone else run into this problem on startup in FSX? I've been running the paid version of this utility for years with no problem but now on startup I get an error message asking me if I want to run this (Yes-No) if I select yes it crashes back to the desktop.

NOTE: I realized that this didn't start until the recent update to Win10 a day or two ago. Grrrr!

Looks like I'm headed for a complete reinstall of FSX/Accel. Checking the Event Viewer, while FSX says there's a problem with FSUIPC, after each crash the event viewer shows problems with various other dll's (ai_player.dll, atc.dll) just to name a few.

    Ed,

NO! Wait a bit before reinstalling FSX etc.. A reinstall probably won't help at all.
Post your problem over at - https://forum.simflight.com/forum/30...owson-modules/
    But first read - https://forum.simflight.com/topic/82...roblem-report/

Send your event viewer text, & fsuipc.log, (zip them up, the forum is stingy on file size) that should get the ball rolling with Pete and/or John.
    Good luck!

Addendum.. A possible trick, go to your FSX.cfg & in the [Trusted] section find any line with "FSUIPC4.dll" in it & delete all the lines that contain it. Restart FSX as admin then go through the steps of retrusting the dll like it was the first time installed.

Ed, yes I got the same warning a few days ago. I haven't got it fixed, but I did say "run it anyway" and the one time it didn't crash, I have just not exited out. So basically, I still have the same problem....Thank you for bringing this up. Also, I even tried to download the module again, and had no luck with the website.. Hope this gets sorted out.... Please keep us posted.... tp

Thanks Roman, but doing so has become a real PITA. I needed to register of course to do anything in the forum, so I proceeded to register. They sent a validation email so that it could validate my info and give me access. I clicked the link in the email which took me to a page that gave me a "Validate Account" button to click, which I did. . .and it locked up, lol. I retried about 5 times, closing the browser each time and redoing the steps. No joy. So I clicked on the "Contact Us" button at the bottom of the validation page and sent a message explaining the problem I was having. . .clicked "send". . . . . . . . .and that locked up as well.

To top that off, I can't even get back on Simflight now because when I try, it recognizes that I canceled the registration and simply displays a page saying so and to "contact Us". . .yea, I don't think so bucko! So I'm unable at this point to post everything I put together explaining the problem.

Well, I give up. I had to do the activation via my email app on my iPhone to get it to work. Got into the Forum and laid out the problem with all the info he requires before he'll troubleshoot and damned if that post didn't lock up when I tried to "send".

Maybe FSUIPC will just suddenly start working but for now I can do without it.

Well, since I couldn't do anything on the SimFlight Forum I decided to do whatever I could do on my own to jump-start FSUIPC. I deleted everything in the "Modules" folder, removed the FSUIPC section in the "dll.exe file, ran a search in regedit to ensure nothing remained that reference the program. I then downloaded the current version, ran the installer (held off on the registration part for the first attempt) and started FSX. I did get the same error message but elected to run it anyway and started right up, no problems. I went back and ran the installer one more time to enter my registration info, saved it and loaded up the Sim again. No error message.

In some airports it's crashing, and when I deleted the lines from FSX.CFG, it never crashed again.
Very grateful for the tip, my FSX keeps getting better.
