    Experiment with Request for Assistance

    G'day, all.

I have been working to get some drivable boats and ships in the game but am currently stymied.

I have managed to a model to display and to load but I am unable to:

    1. lower the model to water level
    2. rotate model 180 degrees so it doesn't drive backwards!

I am very comfortable using ModelConverterX but even after editing the model in that tool, it remains as is in MSFS.

Would anyone have any idea how to remedy this issue?

    I'd sure appreciate any assistance.

    Adjust contact points?

I am sure you know this, however FSDeveloper.com might be a bether place to find your answer.

Good luck. sounds like a cool project. Is this first person project or is it like the boats/ships scenery you can download for MSFS?

I plan to offer these to others once I get them working in the game.

I'll have to make sure proper credits/permissions are provided of course but I'm hoping there are others out there who can appreciate the opportunities for experiencing the world an an entirely different manner in MSFS.

I can't help but I can direct you to some resources that might be useful.

Asobo just recently launched their developer support forums over here: https://devsupport.flightsimulator.com/index.html

SDK discussion forum on the official forums: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/c/sdk-discussion/179

    As mentioned above, fsdeveloper

MSFS Official Discord has an SDK section and is frequented by a lot of helpful people

I would love to see a driveable ship in MSFS, there have been one or two I've seen so far and they werent great.. but maybe you could download them and take a peak at their .cfg files and get some information that way.

Here is one I could find: https://flightsim.to/file/2613/uss-c...otable-in-msfs
