    Icon22 looks very interesting

I don't speak French, but I would be very interested in this Scenery.

    Fantastic!

Very nice work, Dombral! Using this, you can do a 1944 scenery.

    Salut!

This is some beautiful scenery! I would be interested in knowing the effects on frame rate though, if you're running anything less than an i5 processor.
My current rig looks like this:

    Win 7 Home Premium
    i3 530
    8 GB DDR3
    NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti

With all of the graphics sliders at max, I get about 90-125 fps with a good 2d panel, 50-70 fps with 24-32 multi LOD bombers on screen and about 30 fps with heavy scenery.

    Dominique,

I think these are lovely, and I like the designs for some of them better than mine, especially Boulogne, Brest, and Calais. I am curious, though, which airfield you used for Calais, because it does not look like Calais-Merek from Achim's package.

Also, I am curious as to the land class and water class you used for Le Havre and Dunkirk, because they do not appear to match the current land class and updated Dunkirk scenery package.

You can tell that Tobob's Saint-Nazaire scenery is missing in the U-boat pen screenshot.

    Nice work, thanks for sharing!

    Icon22 Where is it at?

When will it be available and where can we get it? It would be perfect for the Battle of France Campaign.

    Marty,

Eventually it might be, but it would actually require the reworking of numerous missions, including creating brand-new port layouts (ships, vehicles, and AA guns) before they could be incorporated into the campaign package. I'm currently doing that for the new Dunkirk scenery package by kdriver.

Icon22 Simple Question from a simple man

Do you need a scenery installed for the new GSL to show up in Free Flight airport location? Does the GSL file just show up with in free flight location with out a Scenery location of some sort? are the new INF files in Scenerb or must they be installed? How is this to be installed ?

    Marty,

In your installation, there is a file called CFS2.gsl in your GSL folder. What you would need to do is...

    1) Take the GSLman.exe file and place it in your CFS2 installation's GSL folder.

    2) Make a backup copy of your cfs2.gsl file, just in case. (add a .bak extension, or change the file name)

    3) Before proceeding with the next steps, make sure that your not actually running the sim at the time you do this, otherwise the file is write-protected and won't save.

    4) Take the .gsl files that Dombral has included (Bonn.gsl, Brest.gsl, etc.) and make sure these files are in the GSL folder.

    5) Open the GSLman.exe program.

    6) Under available custom gobs it should list the .gsl files from the downloaded package you just included in the folder.

    7) Click on and highlight the first GSL file so that it turns blue.

    8) Click "add," and repeat the process until all of the new .gsl files, or "gobs" have been added to your installation's GSL file. You should notice the the file size of this at the end is larger than it was when you began. That's how you know the additional scenery has been added.

You should now be able to see the new scenery at the corresponding locations. No airfields have been included in this, so if you don't have airfields in the area, you would have to rely on geographic coordinates.

Your question is valid, however. No readme was included in this, so you will likely get a ton of error messages over missing objects, which you can list and we can help you locate. Hopefully, Dombral can provide a list of the object packages and scenery required to make the ports appear correctly, but I will leave that up to him, or perhaps others to correct.

    Hi Dombral,

Thanks for doing Amsterdam - I'm glad to see the converted FSX landmarks being used. Did you use the FSX Rotterdam bridges as well?

    Good work!

    Bonjour Dombral,

**For our non-French speakers, a loose translation: (my sentence structure is probably Americanized)

It has been several years since I studied French in school. (I studied four years), decades ago...
Also, my computer does not have a French language keyboard.
Please forgive me if my French is not perfect.

Thank you very much for providing us with such beautiful scenery,
I appreciate your time and efforts.

(BTW, it took a lot of brain energy to even compose such a simple reply. In the past I would have known how to say this simple reply. While in Germany I used Google translate a couple of times, but they get lots of stuff wrong.)
I do admit I had to look up some of the words I have forgotten.
